Ordered black bean beef. Received black bean broccoli with a few pieces of beef. It feels like they keep prices low despite inflation by reducing the meat quantity. 2/5.Food: 2/5
Shop was clean and tidy. Good size piece of fish and very tasty, same with the hotdog, our chips on the day were slightly under cooked I like a bit of crunch. Sorry to say I wasn't a fan of the spring roll had a really funny taste. But over all the food was good.
Previous buy was Wonton & Nasi Goreng..was pretty good. Second visit Kung Bao Chicken & Cashew Nut and combo Egg Fu Yung. Seriously... the Kung Bao Chicken should be called Kung Bao Broccolli/Cauliflower/Carrot/Onion featuring....Chicken..seriously there was 10% 'if that' of chicken. Poor form. Egg Fu Yung had a base of plain cheap rice to fill the bottom of container Never had that before ever and feel so so cheated so now I will stick to my local with same prices but as described. $14.50x2 =$29.00 Charged $29.30. They also added 30c extra to my eftpos payment sneak from behind the counter but I not use paywave nor CC on their remote spiral lead device but put my card IN their machine and pin code so why add the secret tax? WHY? WILL NOT BE BACK!! NO CHANCE Edit: Carry bag? Plain brown paper bag with no handles. It is the LAW to show sign prices of bags if want to purchase or be free. I should NOT have to ask how much meat in an item or all the ingredients list..no -one should... come on.
Fish and chips as they aught to be! Finally, someone who knows how to make batter and can fry it so it is light and crispy. An abundance of nice chips to compliment. Chinese foods are yummy. A bowl of rice to accompany a non-overly-seasoned Chinese choice and I can almost stretch it to two meals.
Really good fish and chips. Good selection of extras, from your potato fritter to mussels. The Chinese meals are tasty and cooked a time of order. Haven't had a bad experience yet.
Great food at an awesome price, loads of variety and their chips are awesome, the only thing I don't like is their burgers but other than that everything else is really tasty.
We love the Nasi goreng from Lavender. We used to live in Newlands and when they left we could never find one we liked as much - We were super stoked a few years later when we moved and found out they were once again our local!
Fab local fish n chip place. Always get decent food here, and the owners are adorably gruff haha.
