My hubby and I dined at Laneway Seven for breakfast this morning. We are always impressed by the delicious coffees and friendly staff + the meals were prepared quickly and tasty. As a dog friendly cafe too, it ticks all the boxes.
We found this place by chance as the place we originally wanted to visit had a private function. The food came out quick even when there were a lot of customers. Both the croquette and the burger were really filling.
First time visit, the booking online was easy. Area is open and ambience is as expected of industrial warehouse/high ceiling decor style - noise levels were energetic/bustley. It was a little windy due to sitting near the doorway to a busy-ish street side. Menu offerings were interesting, with a number of variations on the traditional Eggs Benedict. Price range is a on the higher side for brunch. We ordered coffee, drinks and three meals which call came at intervals. Coffee and food were average. Personal opinion, the crispy bacon doesn't work very well on a Benedict. My poached eggs were a little undercooked. The Thai mushrooms breakfast dish was delicious. Staff were friendly and repeated asked how our experience was. Not really our local and overall the experience was average.
It could have been a good experience dining at this restaurant until my daughter had a some sort of Food Poisoning ?/Stomach Flu few hours after eating her food Scrambled Eggs on Toast with Bacon and Hasbrowns and Mocca Milkshake. It was her first meal of the day. When we got home, she felt really sick and vomitted several times! When she was eating her food, she was not happy about the Scrambled Eggs as it was very dry as you can see in the picture, no taste and the colour was light Brownish. Since she was hungry, she did not bother to complain and have it replaced. Our food and drinks were ok except for my daughter's. After this experience, I don't think we will eat again at this restaurant.
The Belgian Waffles were amazing! The best waffles I’ve had in a long time. The Veggie Garden Big Breakfast was nice too The service was spot on & the atmosphere was really good Defiantly coming back to this place Well done guys
So …… ordered a “pot” of tea and got a half filled cup . Almost had the plate with my food on dropped from a distance . Not a good experience and most certainly will not be returning. Also the menus have no prices , which according to consumer law is illegal. Atrocious place !
Staff was friendly, helpful and amazing. Food was absolutely delicious. No complaints from our table of 4 adults and 1 child. Everything beautifully served and everything was eaten too. Even had colouring for little one. Will definitely return and highly recommend :
Fast service. Table service, which is rare! Great coffee - I had an oat milk cappuccino. Food was delicious! I had the Salmon Benny. Perfectly cooked eggs. Tasty hollandaise sauce. Succulent smoked salmon. Pleasant background music that was not too loud. Was comfortably able to hold a conversation. Calm, relaxed atmosphere. Parking: Parking is close by, behind the building. Dietary restrictions: There were enough options on the menu for me to select a meal that met my dietary needs no milk or bacon/pork.
Customer Service is Superior. I have been here a few times a d love the variety of Breakfast/Brunch options. However, on this occasion there was an small issue with my Big Breakfast that I ordered. I spoke to the staff which assisted me promptly. I was then approached by another staff member who offered to replace my entire meal which I politely declined. The issue was resolved. I had a few staff members check in with me, aswell as the owner. They really cared about what they were serving and about me as a customer. We gave some feedback upon leaving, which was taken on board. I'm all about the 'service and comeback'. Very hard to find old fashioned customer service these days in the restaurant industry. Thank you to you all. Loved my Dirty Chai - my first time trying this and I'm sold.
Deliciously tasting ‘Boss Burger’ and chips, and a smooth tasting coffee. The kids burgers were huge and tasty too.
