What a fantastic oasis that is being created here! The grounds are fun to explore and an absolute adventure for the little ones. The addition of a children's playground and toilet facilities make this a great place to spend a day for families. Banana plantations, pineapples, various fruit trees, a large dam, and of course, the lotus ponds. We hope to return in the future for a picnic and a walk.
Great visit, passionate owners, interesting environment and produce. If you are after banana, pineapple, lotus plants, this is the place. Good walks through the banana and pineapple plantations. You can buy pineapples from end of April on, bananas for ever.
The open day was a great opportunity to meander around this interesting productive estate that specialises in banana production. Other tropical plants also to be found. Huge variety of banana trees. Seedlings for sale. Children's play area of some substance. Mowed trails, scenic. Knowledgeable, helpful, and chatty owners. Walk-around lake. Field loo and hand wash station of good standard. On site carparking good.
Amazing place to explore when you visit Whangarei, have been there third time, got rocks and bananas from Hugh. can’t wait to see the beautiful lotus flowers in summer.
