Story

Lancewoods Stud is a small stud situated near Whakatane in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. Our aim is to breed quality Partbred Welsh and Saddlehunter ponies with excellent natures, conformation and versatility. We started our stud with only one broodmare in 2005 and have grown to two foundation and two young broodmares. We stand the Part-bred Welsh Pony stallion – Windsor Jack Sparrow.
We like to get our youngstock out from foals as I think this helps make them more sensible and exposes them to all the goings on that comes with a show. Our daughter are also very much involved with Kayte helping us at shows by running out the ponies and taking wonderful pictures for us to keep as a record.
Both my daughter, Kayte Korach (nee Fuller), and I have been involved in all aspects of horses from Pony Club to National level. I competed in Dressage and Showing many years ago and my daughter has competed in everything from Springston Trophy, Show Jumping, Showing, Hunting, Eventing, Timberlands and the North Island Pony Club Showjumping Champs.
We enjoy In-hand showing as we go as a family and it is a great way to spend time together doing something we enjoy. Also we are meeting lots of new people which is wonderful.
