Great place with lovely team running it. We were really warmly welcomed and our special needs a little baby easily accommodated. Good food too. Thank you!
We recently stayed as a large group of 14 at Lake Roxburgh Lodge booked via Trail Journeys. The rooms were very clean and well appointed with thoughtful touches. The food was outstanding - the best we have had on our trip. Great Service and very welcoming. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you Anna & Max
The food in this place was amazing but! The rooms smelt a bit musty to start with but the windows were opened so it blew away.nThe host was not particularly friendly. In fact, almost didn't want you there. We were one of two parties and both asked for the rugby on at breakfast and we were told no. The following fayvthe tv had been switched off!nThe other party had steak and asked for both sauces and to be charged extra...no. One or the other. Two of our party arribed for breakfast at 7.55am instead of 8am and he wasn't going toet them in!nIf it wasn't for Mrs Smith the waitress who was a right laugh, and the quality of the food, this would be a place to avoid.
We had dinner at the Lodge with friends. The restaurant was relaxing and not prisy. The service was good and the food was excellent!!! The jus that came with the Italian prawns was so good, and the courgettes that came with my chicken were so delicious I would have had a bowl of both on there own. The prawns and chicken were the icing on a very delicious cake! Highly recommend the Lodge to anyone wanting a beautiful meal out.
The rooms were fine, they were clean, with everything you need. The highlight of the stay here was the meal… it was sublime. We all group of 8 had something different, all the meals were fantastic. I’d stay again, if only for the food.
