Best lake in New Zealand
Absolute gem of a place, I'm pretty sure it's the second clearest lake?? Either way it's sooo beautiful. Very very clear water, sooo fresh. Can park on the waters edge. Really loved this lake. There were portaloos placed at the far end of the beach close to the playground
The greatest lake for me. It's the cleanest water quality out of all the rotorua lakes. You can be swimming in chest deep water and still see your toes. The beach at the East end of the lake is lovely with heaps of parking, a playground and rubbish bins. Also has a boat ramp and a ski lane.
Can't describe how amazing so won't even try. So so so beautiful, as good as if not better than taupo
Pretty bay, and rather nice lake to swim in.
Stunning lake and beautiful clear water! If visiting take sunblock and cover, as there is almost no shade. Great for water activities, and get-togethers. If everyone just left there footprints it would be even more beautiful, and if the toilets were cleaner and the bins emptied more often it would get 5 stars!
Such a beautiful lake! Fresh water, good beaches, good places to launch your boat, good fishing if you enjoy trout fishing. If you're new to the area or traveling through I definition reccomend stopping here for a swim and to enjoy the beauty of the place.
