Yummy food had beef short rib which were devine just melted off bone very tasty. Great winter rib warmer! Chicken burger yummy & lived up to what you would expect from a really nice restaurant. Wonderful friendly waitress. Efficient & anticipated what we were after. Had a lovely time there.
We have spent the last 9months travelling around NZ for 1yr in our motorhome . And i have to say that the bar meal we ordered with our beer was sooo big that i immediately ordered a doggy bag . It was tea that night . The service was extremely quick and staff were very pleasant and helpful . And it was DOG friendly the waiter immediately once saw the dog brought out a water bowl.
Seafood chowder has a good flavor but it was 99% mussels. I only found one single piece of something other than mussels. That's not what SEAFOOD chowder is supposed to be like.
Great pub grub with fast friendly service. We didn’t have a booking but we managed to get a free table quickly. Servings were hearty portions & tasty! Absolutely enjoyed my seafood chowder! It was tasty & creamy with plenty of seafood! The crusty bread was also lovely to dip into the chowder too Definitely recommend if you are after a good feed!
Great food and good service... unfortunately, we found the dressing for the ceasar salad a bit bland. The shrimp appetizer was great!
We were served sparkling wine at $14 a glass. The bottle was opened the day before and they insisted it was ok despite the first glass poured being completely bubble free by the time the second was poured. Requested them to open a new bottle and was told there was nothing wrong with what had been poured. I invited the bar manager to taste the wine himself at which time he suggested I might like to go next door to buy my drinks! We are regular visitors, and two days prior we spent over $200 on food and wine at the place. We will never go here again!!!
The food was very good, service was fine and we didn’t have to wait too long for our meals to arrive after ordering. It was a typical cold winters day in Wanaka and we expected the restaurant to be a little warmer and cosy than it was. And we didn’t really like eating with little birds walking around the place eating crumbs off the floor.
The view is beautiful and the service great. The girls are pretty cute. We had the beef and chicken burger and were disappointed. Almost $30 each and the quality wasn’t good. The bacon full of fat, not well cooked, the beef and chicken seemed like low quality and even the aioli didn’t have a lot of taste. Pretty sad
Enjoyed a chicken burger Possibly the Lake Side burger?, with chips and Coca Cola with Vodka. The meal was excellent, the burger included a nice size chicken breast and tasted yummy, the side chips were also crunchy. Didn't manage to eat the whole meal so took takeaway containers after.
Served by a truly lovely bartender who had great recommendations and awesome service, definitely recommend this place if you are looking for really tasty food and beautiful service.
