You can come here to watch the sunset. The garden is a nice place. There are people climbing rocks.

Lovely little garden. Worth a look. It is a steep climb on the road to get there.
This lookout is buried deep in the Lady Thorn Rhododendron Dell, an old quarry site. The lookout is accessed by stairs on the quarry rim and provides spectacular views of the Otago Harbour and the township of Port Chalmers with its working port area below. From time to time you'll also see large Cruise ships visiting Dunedin. On the deck of the lookout you'll see a series of information boards with historic photographs of the area. For amazing views and an opportunity for taking stunning photos of the harbour, the port and the township of Port Chalmers, this lookout is a must visit.
