Le lac de Rotoroa est un lac situé près de Hamilton, dans la région de Waikato, sur l'Île du Nord, en Nouvelle-Zélande.Il a une surface d'environ 54 hectares et une profondeur moyenne de 2,4 mètres. C'est le siège du Hamilton Yacht Club, qui y organise régulièrement des compétitions de voile pendant l'été.SportsLe lac de Rotoroa est ouvert à de nombreux sports.Innes Common est un parc installé sur la rive est du lac et qui est le siège d'un club de hockey sur gazon : le Waikato Hockey Association Sports Ground.Innes Common donne aussi un bon accès au lac pour les activités nautiques. Les dériveurs et canoés sont visibles fréquemment naviguant sur le lac mais il est trop petit pour les quillards qui prennent trop de vitesse pour s'arrêter. Le lac est mieux adapté aux bateaux moins rapides capable de tourner facilement.Le parcours de autour du lac est adapté pour la marche et la course. Le Hamilton Road Runners Club est basé au Hamilton Yacht Club, et des courses sont organisées par le Hamilton Road Runners Club autour tous les ans. Il y a des fontaines d'eau au niveau des aires de jeux à l'extrémité nord-ouest du lac et près de Innes Common.Il y a aussi des parcours de courses dans le bush et un terrain de mini-golf sur la rive ouest du lac.

Great place for a walk. Park for children. The geese and ducks are there to give you company when you take a walk around the lake. Very well maintained too. Loved it
A nice place to go for a walk in Hamilton. An easy track too so good for the less able-bodied. Decent places to see sunsets too
We have finished the walk around the lake in 45 minutes in the morning. The atmosphere was so good, warm, and friendly. Lots of people were there jogging, walking the dogs.....

Great place to spend time with friends, family & kids. Here birds are very friendly with people. Evenings are the wonderful times for photography. Lake view will give wonderful snaps. Excellent place for relaxation and walking also.

Beautiful wide, flat pathway to walk, jog. Especially love the boardwalk part of the walk where you see lovely water lily of different colours. Lots of parking here at different parts of the lake. You can drive almost all of it too. It has two comprehensive playground areas. One of them also boasts an area with free fitness equipment. There are many areas to kick back and have a picnic, play a bit of touch rugby, catchup with friends and family or just sit, relax and reflect. Popular place for sure. The cafe is very popular. Birdwatchers will love the up close experience with different species like, pukeko and ducks. So close to the CBD too!
Nice view and beautiful lake. Walking path goes right around the lake. Unfortunately water is unsafe for swimming due to bacteria when I last visited.
Pretty place to walk ride scoot play or whatever relaxes you outdoors
