Had a wonderful French cuisine at this restaurant after searching for a good French restaurant. I'm a big fan of escargot and was happy they were serving it as not many restaurants serve this dish in Auckland. These were definitely worth it, it was buttery and creamy without being too salty. Their pizza had good taste with generous amounts of topping, however I'd recommend going for other French dishes from the mains/appetizers. Lastly, drinks and crepes were amazing La fourchette offers coffee and other drinks until late night and they match perfectly with crepes. I often visit here just have their crepes! Their crepes have the perfect amount of sweetness and what a great way to finish your meal! Taste is 9/10, service and atmosphere is 10/10. Always great to see the staff members being so kind and welcoming
Had lunch here and it did not only exceed already high expectations but was one of the best places I’ve ever eaten. The Salmon Carpaccio was melt in the mouth amazing. The courgette side is so good it has the right to be a dish all by itself. The steak was perfect, the dauphinois DIVINE. My wife’s gnocchi were well portioned, filling and delightful. The Creme Brûlée was unbeatable and the crepe suzette just idyllic. Wine was so good and the staff gave perfect suggestions of what paired well. Coffee was good and price wasn’t shocking. I’ll be back, and soon.
Had lunch here today and it was amazing. We had the escargot, steak, de la mer pizza and a crepe suzette. The escargot was melt in your mouth buttery goodness. Steak cooked perfectly. Pizza was delicious. Crepe suzette was nice but a bit heavy on the liquor. Their mango margarita was so delicious!! Highly recommend this place. The staff and service were excellent. Nice ambience. Noticed they are kid friendly with high chairs available and also a change table in the ladies room.
For a special celebration, we went to La Fourchette in St Heliers, by request to try French cuisine. It was fortunate that this place was still operating during Christmas and New Years. Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and welcoming and the restaurant ambiance was bustling and lively with a trio band playing. Our waitress was excellent, most attentive and hospitable as we were escorted upstairs and the menu was explained. We started with sparkling water, mocktails and Pinot Noir with kumara bread with brown butter which was freshly baked and delicious. Our entrees consisted of escargot in Pastis and garlic butter and poisson cru with almond cream, kalamata olive, turnip and passionfruit. Our entrees were flavoursome, vibrant and satisfying. Following on, our mains were pan fried hapuka a la grenoblaise served with cauliflower walnut crumble and tamarin braised cabbage, a Cobb salad with panko chicken, baby cos, fourme d’ambert, confit onions and Cesar dressing and confit de canard served with watermelon and pomegranate Thai salad and lime coriander dressing. Accompanied by seasonal vegetables of honey garlic broccoli and gratin dauphinoise, our dishes were exquisite, beautifully balanced in texture and flavour profile and the highlight was trying each other’s plates. For dessert, we tried creme brûlée and crepes served with lemon, Nutella and salted caramel and nuts. Dessert was delicious and the perfect crescendo to the meal. Our dining experience was wonderfully memorable with live French music, exceptional service, exquisite cuisine and beverages. I look forward to visiting again to try other dishes on the menu. Highly recommended with distinction!
Excellent experience with attentive ans friendly staff and excellent food. Portions were generous and good value. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Stopped by for lunch. We didn't have to wait too long after entering to get seated. After getting water we ordered drinks and then food. We ordered entrees to share and a main each. The duck liver parfait was amazing. The jelly went well with the rich parfait. the powder was interesting. The tartare wasn't the same as last time. It tasted mostly of cauliflower and didn't taste or feel like a normal tartare, which was slightly disappointing. The Croque Madame was cheesy deliciousness. The also had a cabinet out front which looked like it has a range of amazing pastries, but wasn't able to try it this time. Nice service and the food is nice and quite different from other cafes.
Nice french cafe with professional and friendly staff, coffee was delicious the beef tartar is amazing and the creme brulee....... yes the creme brulee. They do have a kids menu with a cut little burger and fries dish, Hershey chocolate with your coffee instead of marshmallow "nice touch" Clean environment parking out the front or 10 meters down there is an open public car park. Toilets appear to be shared with the other businesses in the building but tidy.
Has a lovely French feel to it and the food and service are very good. Most of the staff are french, so if you like the accent then it's a must! Oh, and the chicken liver pate was some of the best!

This place has a really nice atmosphere and the food is scrumptious and good portions as well. I had the calzone and it was lovely. The restaurant is located in a very beautiful area too. Service was good, however I think it could get better.
