Not bad value for lunch. The salad was fresh and the noodle dishes were best. Staff are very friendly and have excellent communication skills. Dessert included pavlova - quite Kiwi.
Food quality down but prices gone up! We dined in closer to closing time and asked if they were cooking anymore of the dishes that were empty and they were annoyed they had to cook food for us! Regardless of what time you arrive to eat it should be of good standard and have everything your paying for or just say your closed and don't expect people to just eat the scraps! Deserves no star!
First time there, and we were greeted with a warm welcome. Lots of food choices. However, the beef looked like it had been sitting in the blood juices for a while, so I didn't touch it.Food: 3/5
Such an awesome buffet restaurant. We went here today for the first time and we really enjoyed it. Their customer service is great, they're friendly and clear the tables very often when you've finished your food. Really enjoyed the variety and kids had fun too. Will definitely be back
So...who ever puts negative comments or low mark here,should be taken off,as this place is mint buffet restaurant.I mean...common..you go to a buffet restaurant,you choose to go to buffet restaurants and you winge and complain bout things you never experienced in Ala Carte Restaurants?! They greet you from the door,it’s NZ$ 28.00 all you can eat,food is fresh and crispy,supper yummy,staff is well spoken and attentive,from the waitress down to the bar man.It’s super clean,well presented,professional and yum All that for NZ$ 28.00
I love this place! We went here twice while we stayed at The Mt. We did not need a reservation as we went during the off season. The food was fresh and hot. The dessert was my favorite, especially the pavlova and anzac biscuits, everything is homemade. The staff are lovely and remember repeat customers. The price is decent especially if you attend during lunch.
$34 all you can eat for an adult and a discount for seniors great food! Hot food and yummy! Endless prawns
Sometimes it's just nice to have a buffet dinner. But if you look at any given dish of the buffet, the food is average at best. Not bad, just average. We found it was best to avoid the deep fried dishes and instead enjoy things like fried rice, vegetarian egg noodle, cashew chicken, and beef with black bean sauce. From the salad section, the imitation crab salad is pretty good. And they have an interesting dessert bar. In all, this is not so much a place to enjoy good Chinese food as it is a place to enjoy a fun buffet experience.
Been going here for 15 years , and the takeaway prices are now at a very high price. I remember when large was $10 and medium, $8 now yesterday I paid $17 something for medium as large was $20 something... there's really no difference between the large and a medium as well. The food quality has dropped tremendously after the change of ownership, most things on the menu I do not touch. Need to bring back some of the old ways with affordable takeaway and good food quality. Hopefully this year brings it
