Story

Kush Coffee Ltd 5 Church St Nelson. Named after the Kingdom of Kush, in what is now Ethiopia, and believed to have been the first coffee drinkers.
Started in 2005 after a trip to Europe that went from Cafe to coffee shop from roadside stand to bohemian restaurants. to more cafes a few bars were thrown in so as not to get bored and from there sprang Kush.
Our customers tell us we have the best coffee anywhere and we are inclined to agree.

This place is a real surprise. We were told about this place and couldn't believe how good it is . Fantastic, flavoursome food and terrific staff. Hats off to the owner for such a fantastic gastronomical delight. Beef brisket burger exquisite.
Really really good food here. The trout hash and summer salad with Cajun fish were amazing. Would come back just to eat these dishes.
Good food and coffee. Staff took covid restrictions seriously and we appreciated their commitment whilst still being professional and polite. Good atmosphere - creative and cool without taking themselves too seriously. wish we had been around to watch some live music.
Had the brisket burger. Good burger, and chips. Ample serving and decently priced. Helpful staff and quick service on our visit.
Good location. The food is really good and the service is friendly and helpful. Happy to recommend.
Great to see it getting the vibe back. Food is ok, but lacking some flavour with some dishes needs to get some of the ‘Purple Carrot’ flavour happening
We got the burger and the eggplant bruschetta. It was all really delicious, though could have used a bit more seasoning on the food. Great service!
A bit out of the way for a pit stop on the way back from Byron but it was a great one. The food was excellent and the staff were awesome.
We were discriminated against because we were from Sydney. We were not allowed inside the cafe, we were asked to leave by management - not a nice feeling.
