Kohimarama Yacht Club is a youth yacht club dedicated to introducing young people to sailing, and training them to love and excel at the sport.
Our Optimist fleet is divided into Green, Division 2 and Division 1. All three fleets train and race on a Sunday at the club. Midweek training is also held on a Wednesday evening. Contact the relevant fleet captain for further details.
The Optimist is a single handed sailing dinghy. It has become the most popular boat in the world to learn the basic skills of sailing. It is popularly referred to as the "Opti".
