Absolutely lovely staff, knowledgeable and super friendly. It was a hot day so we didn't see many of the native birds and reptiles - which was totally understandable. We did get to see a kiwi in the night enclosure which capped off a great visit

Awesome place. Loved seeing the Tuatara up close in the aviary.

We saw 2 kiwis and a tautara in less than 10 minutes. Where else can one make such a statement! The birds were very happy and we saw a bunch of reptiles too. Plenty of rest areas and bird watching around the sanctuary.

Fantastic experience! The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. There's a beautiful walk-through aviary here in addition to the kiwi house. Plenty of different kinds of birds, and a daily kakariki talk where you get to feed them while you learn facts about these little NZ parakeets. Highly recommend!

Great place! Nice walk through nature, and as long as you are patient and quiet you will see the Kiwis. We were lucky, one walked right up beside the glass while we were there. The aviary is great too, and a bird landed on my hand.

Very enjoyable visit. Loved the bird feeding at 12.00 in the aviary. Talks interesting. Could have more benches around the park to sit and enjoy the serenity of the environment and rest tired old bodies!.

What a gem. Such a lovely place. Easy to walk around and plenty to see. Really enjoyed the visit
