Absolutely terrible customer service from one of the guys who works there. First of all I had to wait three weeks for an appt to set up bank accounts for my children. My partner has a business account with kiwibank but I do not bank with them. Was told From this same man that booked the appts for me that I had to bring in birth certificates for each child and proof of address. When I get there he then tells me I need to be a customer to set up bank accounts for my kids and lists all the things I should’ve brang to open up myself a bank account -Which I did not have on me as I wasn’t aware. He then says well I would assume you would know this kos why else would you open bank accounts for your kids if you don’t bank here? I’m sorry.. do I work here and know these things or do you?? He snapped at me and actually cut me off before I had finished my sentence saying IM JUST TRYING TO HELP YOU to which I replied in tears don’t worry about it I’ll take my business else where. Rude. Incompetent. And will never ever bring my business to this kiwibank in terapa again.
Absolute nightmare. Have been with kiwibank for over 10 years and the service has never been anything to write home about. We were tryin to set up accounts for our children. I Called to make an appointment and could only get through to a call centre that said they had to email the branch and could not provide me with a contact phone number. Got a call back after a week of waiting to arrange an appointment. Barely any timeslots available. Had to wait over a week for our appointment. We were late due to an accident that stopped traffic. Could not call to let them know. Got to kiwibank and were told we should have emailed. Only 2 staff in the building. And we would have to rebook for another day. What a joke. Safe to say we walked to the well staffed bank next door and set up new accounts with them straight away.
Great bank their hours are very convenient as they are open at the weekend. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and go out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction. I highly recommend this bank.
Website and window sticker say you open at 9am, so I get there at 9am waiting by the door with a couple of nice old ladies, Security lady comes up and says they open at 10am. You know how many elderly have been standing around waiting for an hour?? Maybe open at 9 if that's what everything says,Or AT LEAST put a sign out the front saying you open at 10. Also security lady should keep her opinion about the vaccine to herself, she's not there to spread her opinion about covid.
Absolutely hopeless, you'd actually think the staff were retarded, took a ridiculously long period of time, 10-15 MINUTES to enter an address and phone number. Pathetic service and operational hours being reduced everywhere render this bank basically not an option.
Deposit/ withdrawal Machine has an error every time i've tried touse it. It chewed up a $50 note as well. A man came up to me and let me know they were there to service it - no sign or anything to let anyone know it was broken. The next day, I went in to the actual bank to deposit money because of it chewing up my money. The frontline person manning the queue told me to use the machine. I told them what had happened and they still tried to make me go outside. Super rude and unprofessional. The app also keeps crashing, and when i'm on the computer, it randomly gets interrupted and crashes at any time, including when i'm midway through transfers. The online banking itself is also poor in terms of layout and functionality. Will be changing banks as soon as i can.
Tried to deposit money into the ATM, it chewed $20 and then spat out the rest saying it has been rejected. This is not the first time this has happened. Cannot wait to change the business to a different bank. I specifically go to the ATM to avoid the often rude staff.
Really unfriendly interrogation as you enter the bank. Basically trying their hardest to redirect you to self service options and get you to not use the teller service. Turns out same person asking questions is also the teller and obviously found it a hassel to have to unlock the teller area and log in to a computer! Won't be back to this location. Edit to add this was a Friday. Not a weekend or after 4.30pm as per kiwi bank reply below. People walk into a bank because they want to see a teller. And a friendly one. Don't make that an unpleasant experience.
I have had a very bad experience of sending parcels from this post shop and never reaching its destination in Australia. Four different times. Three were last January and the recent one I sent a parcel on 23-02-2018, the lady over the counter oldish Maori lady did not give me any tracking receipt on the customer copy. The parcel was meant for Canada, this time and had herbal hair colours. It is shocking just how this is allowed to happen. I have used services at Frankston shop too and all my parcels reached there destination but not one sent from this Te rapa shop. I cannot find out what happens to my parcels.
... Have sent a complaint via the Kiwibank link. I was in today 18/06 2pm. I didn't find the service very good at all, hence this review - 1 very DIM star for this Branch - AVOID at Best.
