Andrea ran a beeswax wrap workshop at my house before Christmas for myself and some friends. We had such a good afternoon learning to make our own wraps. We all got to make two of our own with Andrea's beautiful fabrics and bees wax and could take them home as part of the workshop fee. I loved that Andrea also talked to us about making sustainable choices in our homes and gave us lots of good ideas and practical things we could do in this area. I can highly recommend Andrea as a very experienced and knowledgeable teacher and her workshops are great. Thank you!
Andrea ran a Kombucha workshop at my place just recently. We had tried to make Kombucha a few times in the past but just weren't quite successful. Andrea explained the process so well during the workshop which instigated several light bulb moments for us as to why it hadn't work out so far. And sure enough, a few weeks later we drunk our first, enjoyable own brewed Kombucha. A wealth of knowledge, thanks Andrea.
I went along to a weaving class with Andrea where we made a basket. It was so amazing! She taught us how to harvest our harakeke, prep our harakeke and then weave it into a basket. The group was small so she was able to do 1 on 1 with each of us if we were struggling. She also started and ended the session with karakia and taught us a karakia/song that we could use when harvesting. She answered any questions we had about harakeke and was a great teacher. It was a great class. I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to learn how to weave :
