I had a great time on this beautiful boat! You get a totally different sight on Lake Taupo and learn a lot about its history. Jessi and Dave are lovely people and I'm even thinking about booking another trip for tomorrow.
I went on a 2.5 hour group tour of the Maori rock carvings with Kindred Spirit earlier this week. Both of the tour operators Jess and Dave were very knowledgable and welcoming, they were happy to answer all of our questions and share their local knowledge with the group. The tour was great value for money, and was a nice way to see Lake Taupo. I highly recommend booking a tour with Kindred Spirit if you are in Taupo!
My wife and I were lucky enough to have a cruise on Lake Taupo with Dave yesterday morning. Not a cloud in the sky and a light breeze. It was simply perfect. The views as you motor out of the river mouth onto the lake are stunning enough but it only gets better as you head out on the lake and take in the surrounds. Then you're rewarded with a close up of the wonderful carvings framed by blue skies and crystal clear waters. What more could you ask? Dave was a great host. He shared stories and info and kept us entertained. We topped it off we a glass of wine as we sailed back. What an experience! You'd be hard pressed to get a better one anywhere in the world. Can't wait to return.
Excellent pricing for what you get knowledgeable tour, pizza, drinks, and the skipper & crew are very nice. A great way to pass the afternoon with friends.
