Story

I first started to bake when I was probably in my early teens. Started off with simple shortbread biscuits, quiche, learnt how to make scones from watching my bubu (grandmother) bake them. Which were just the best thing fresh out of the ovan with butter!! I moved back to PNG where it was just me and my dad, so would bake him cakes (out of the box) and he's favourite New York cheese cake just so he would have something to go with he's tea or coffee after dinner.

It was only when I was pregnant, that I really started to crave baked goods (mostly chocolate cake) that I started to look for recipes and experiment. I always told myself that I'd want to be a mother who always made nice little treats for her children lol

After finding my chocolate cake recipe, i started to tweak it until i was happy with it :) then i thought i don't just want to make a chocolate cake i want it to be pretty as well. Thank god for YouTube videos lol because that's where i learnt how to pipe as well as reading lol

Longest story short, I'm a self-taught baker and decorator. I do it because i love baking, i also love eating cake lol every cake order is a challenge in it self and a learning experience. I'm grateful for my understanding family who put up with me and the messy kitchen & dinning room when im baking, for keeping my twins distracted while im stressing out because im trying to complete a cake order, for being supportive and not telling me off even tho i basically ruined Christmas by not preparing anything because i was trying to complete my cake orders! oops :/
