Story

We operate two Centres under the banner of Kids Time - Kids Time Early Learning Centre and Kids Time Kindergarten.

Kids Time Early Learning Centre is nestled in the heart of the Ngaruawahia township at 3 Galileo Street, Ngaruawahia. It has two separate buildings connected by a deck - the Infants and Toddlers area and the Pre-school room.

The Infants and Toddlers area (where young children are cared for in a warm and nurturing, homelike environment) is for children aged 3 months to 2 years.

The Pre-School room is for children aged 2-3 years and has a large park like outdoor area for children to explore, and a spacious indoor area made up of smaller learning areas offering lots of different activities designed to encourage children to explore, experiment, play, and learn.

Kids Time Early Learning Centre is licensed for 44 children including 16 children under the age of 2.

Kids Time Early Learning Centre is open from 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday and offers flexible hours to meet your individual needs. Phone 07 824 8871 or 0800 KIDSTIME (0800 543 784).

At 3, children begin to transition to Kids Time Kindergarten (which is located adjacent to Kids Time Early Learning Centre and connected by a service lane). Children attending Kids Time Kindergarten need to be toilet trained.

Kids Time Kindergarten is located at 76 Great South Road, Ngaruawahia (adjacent to Kids Time Early Learning Centre and beside the ANZ bank on State Highway One,Ngaruawhia). Kids Time Kindergarten is licensed for 50 children over the age of 2. It caters for children aged 3-5 years and has a large indoor play area separated into different learning areas, and a well resourced outdoor play area designed to encourage the children to play, explore, and develop their gross motor skills.

Kids Time Kindergarten is open from 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday and offers morning, afternoon, and school hours sessions (or flexible hours if required to meet your individual needs). Partnering with Parents and Whanau - One of the core values of Kids Time is family. In our Centres, you will see strong, respectful relationships which create a solid foundation for learning and development. Our aim is to walk alongside our families and whanau and build meaningful relationships with them and their children. We seek to support our children and their families in an open, caring, and nurturing way.

We value and respect parent and whanau knowledge and input on their child and culture, and look forward to hearing about your goals and aspirations for your children/tamariki. We work with parents and whanau to create a programme that suits the individual needs of their children. We consider it a real privilege to have the opportunity to partner with you and invest into the lives of your precious tamariki.

Quality Teachers - At Kids Time, we seek to employ the best quality teachers and then support them with regular and on-going professional development. Our skilled and dedicated teachers seek to help your children reach their full potential and develop into confident, capable, and enthusiastic learners.

Our Environment - Our environment is set up in a purposeful way to give children an exciting range of learning opportunities as they explore and play. Different activities are set up on a daily basis giving your child something new to discover each day.

Curriculum/Programme - Our emergent curriculum is based on the children's interests. Teachers recognise children's interests and work alongside the children helping them to explore these interests. Children are both challenged and supported to extend their current skills and knowledge and to develop attitudes which will help them be successful learners for life.

Our high teacher to child ratios enable us to provide a quality programme which is appropriate for each age group and stage of development. Both group needs and individual needs and learning styles are recognised and met. Learning activities and goals are relevant to each child's development allowing them to progress at their own rate.

We incorporate many different learning activities into our programme including dramatic play, music, arts and crafts, nature and science, geography, games and puzzles, messy play, blocks, play-dough, literacy and numeracy, sports and physical activities, sand and water play, carpentry, technology, and special events and excursions.

Our programme is guided by Te Whaariki (the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum) and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and is evaluated on a regular basis.

Routines - We incorporate both free play and set routines (such as group activities and mat times) into the days structure.

Transition to School Programme - We offer a transition to school programme for children who are almost ready for school.

Portfolios - Each child has a portfolio which celebrates their learning and development. This will include photos and stories documenting your child's learning, and samples of their work. We encourage parents and whanau to contribute to their children's portfolios also. This is precious record of your child's early childhood journey which is yours to keep when your child leaves.

Meals - Both Centres offer morning tea, afternoon tea, and lunch at no extra cost for children attending during those meal times. Children may bring a piece of fruit to share if they wish. Parents/caregivers need to provide their own bottles and milk/formula for infants.

Nappies - At Kids Time Early Learning Cetnre, we provide all nappies at no extra cost. Children attending Kids Time Kindergarten need to be toilet trained.

Free Pick Up and Drop Off Service - We offer a free pick up and drop off service in our Centre van for those children who would otherwise be unable to attend early childhood education. Seat allocation is subject to availability and will be reviewed every three months.

Fees - Fees $5.20 per hour. Max daily fee $42.50. Max weekly fee $195. 20 Free ECE Hours and WINZ subsidies available to eligible children.

20 FREE HOURS - All 3 and 4 year old children in New Zealand are eligible to have up to 6 hours per day and 20 hours per week of fully funded childcare. This is because the New Zealand government recognises that giving young children the best possible start in life is vitally important and that quality early childhood education builds the lifelong foundations of successful learning

Contact us today to take advantage of your 20 FREE ECE Hours.

I called this facility to inquire about a clientMy tax client and to receive assistance with getting a replacement copy of her W2 and/or the companies EIN and when I tell you the customer service I received from Mr. Dumans was very ghetto and unprofessional. I would never leave my child here. He really needs to improve his customer service skills. He spoke as if we were hanging out in the streets on the block. Very Disappointed knowing they are handling children daily. He doesn't deserve my one star.
My kids been there almost 2 years. The staff is genuinely nice. The place is always clean and organized. Mr Dumas and the crew is the absolute best. I could not have choosen a better facility.
My daughter been going here since she was 3 months and she is finishing up her pre-k year with them. They have done an awesome amazing fantastic job with her. Mr. Dumas and the staff are great.
The worst DAYCARE ever. They gave my baby spoiled damn milk, came home throwing up in his sleep because of this & he came home with really deep scratches! The bus drivers are really rude & come whenever they want to come pick up your kid. This daycare doesn't close at 6:30 more like 4:00pm. The director let them do whatever they want & leave irresponsible people in charge while he's gone. Kids get home really dehydrated & hungry. McClendon or how ever her name is spelled doesn't pay attention to the kids on the bus, my son came home with a terrible disgusting bite mark on his arm & she had no idea how it had happened nor did the Director or teachers. I have pictures & videos to prove all of these things. You have to be VERYYYYYYY desperate to place you kid here. He hires nothing but LAZY people who's just there for the money
I love them the staff. mr.Dumas and his family are great with my kids and I wouldn't take my to No one else. I have been with them 6 years and going for some more.
Fantastic staff! My son has been here since 9mo, he is 1yr now. The facility is older, but it is kept clean. Reasonable prices! I recommend it
Please I repeat please stay away from this daycare. Unprofessional and out of order. They barely feed the kids and the service is bad. All they want is money. Your kids deserve better.
My son is very active and he really enjoyed his time at KidTime Learning. I look forward to sending my girls there soon.
I have used this care center before ,and these are great people I do recommend . Thanks Robert
Jus know that they our some bad workers and don't send your kids there I'm sorry
