With over two acres of native bush to explore your child will experience bush walks, mud slides & tree climbing! We have a spa pool to build water confidence, huge age appropriate spaces and grounds with trees, grass and gardens. We have a resident miniature pony for pony rides and a designated science room. Kidiwise has five iPhones for easy parent contact direct to your child's room. We are proud to maintain an above average teacher/child ratio, genuine free 20 ECE hours for over 3 year olds and nappies and food are included!"

As parents of three young boys—aged 3 years, 22 months, and 7 months—who attend Kidiwise Childcare, we couldn't be happier with our choice. Each of our sons is in a different room Owls, Moreporks, and Nestlings, tailored to their developmental stages, and each day they come home filled with stories of their adventures and new discoveries. Kidiwise is far more than a daycare; it's a thriving community where children have extensive space to run, play, and explore in a secure and stimulating environment. The array of activities provided is truly unique and goes far beyond the basics. Our boys particularly love the pony rides with Peachy the Pony, a highlight that brings them immense joy. Additionally, the bush and community walks foster a strong connection with nature and their local surroundings, while spa time offers them a moment to relax and rejuvenate—a rare find in childcare settings! The educational opportunities are equally impressive, with engaging science activities that pique their curiosity and encourage hands-on learning. The staff’s dedication to nurturing each child’s interests helps in fostering a lifelong love for learning in them. What sets Kidiwise apart is its warm and nurturing atmosphere. Every teacher seems genuinely invested in the children's well-being and development, ensuring that they not only learn but also thrive emotionally and socially. We truly believe there is no better childcare option in Tauranga. Choosing Kidiwise has been one of the best decisions for our family, providing our boys with a fun, educational, and loving second home.
So happy that we moved our son here and our only regret is that we didn't know about Kidiwise when we first moved to Tauranga. Our son is thriving in this outstanding daycare centre; there is so much for him to do in the huge outdoor spaces. We are a huge fan of the each room's curriculum time which provides structure & routine for our 4yo. Pony rides, spa pool, a dedicated science space and bush walk area, animals to care for...the list goes on. The teachers are amazing too & go the extra mile. We will be sad to leave this wonderful environment when it's tone for big school.
Both my children absolutely love Kidiwise. The teachers are amazing and care so much about the kids. The cherry on top is all the lovely regular activities that Kidiwise offers - including spa pool, community walks, bush walks and pony rides. The resident chickens are a firm favourite with my one-year-old. Kidiwise is a top class ECE!
Kidiwise is the best daycare around! Our friends in other areas are so jealous of what our son gets up too! It’s not about being the top looking with fake trees its about kids being kids, creating, building, exploring their own native bush weekly! Pony rides, hatching chickens and swimming in the spa! We can’t recommend kidiwise enough we love the imagination it lets our son have and the teachers who support him.
We fell in love with Kidiwise the moment we walked through the gate 3 years ago. The kaiako are so involved, hands on and take an individual interest in each child. The way the rooms are set up with the different age groups ensures the learning is at the right level for the children and the curriculum is the best I've seen. The activities that each room get to participate in are so fun, fulfilling and educational. Both my kids love going to daycare, its a real struggle to get them to come home at the end of the day! Would recommend Kidiwise over any other centre, any day.
Kidiwise has been an amazing day care for my daughter, she loves going each day and I love seeing the daily updates on their FB community group. The teachers genuinely care and are so approachable when parents have questions. I highly recommend Kidiwise to any parents who want their child to have daily outdoor adventures and experiences they won’t find at any of the other local daycares!
My two kids absolutely love kidiwise ! & so do I! Every day during their week is different and fun filled, lots of outdoor&messy play, pony rides, spa swims, bush walks, community walks they truly do it all ! my kids absolutely love it & we get sent photo updates every day of what activities they have done which is awesome to see. The kaiako/teachers are top tier and I feel so comfortable leaving my babies in their care. We love kidiwise !
Hands down the best daycare in Tauranga. Incredible kaiako who truly care about the tamariki in their care. Our daughter gets to ride a miniature pony, go for bush walks, visit the chickens, play outside in the sun, and on rainy days, read books, explore fun toys and get creative with craft time. The Kidiwise team are constantly finding new ways to engage the tamariki and are teaching them and helping them develop while having fun. Plus our daughter loves going - what more coule you ask for?
After originally enrolling my kids into a different childcare centre, and feeling it wasn’t quite the right fit for us, we went on the search for something else. We stopped into Kidiwise, unexpected and with 4 kids in tow, Anna was all too happy to show us around and all the staff welcomed our kids with open arms. We signed up right then and there, falling in love with the staff, grounds and philosophy. Eren made the sign-up process so easy and nothing was ever a problem, helping us complete all the forms and answering our many questions. Every morning we are greeted by the teaching staff with the warmest smiles and feeling that they genuinely love what they do. Between rooms, we are usually met by Steve, the maintenance man and van driver who always pauses whichever of the many jobs he is tackling to smile and wish us a good morning. Along the way, when Kirsten, the chef isn’t busy in the Kitchen catering to my kids’ dietary requirements and never-ending hunger!, I find her happily playing with the kids or helping to settle them in. Throughout the day I receive regular text and photo updates of all the amazing activities they are diving into – Nature walks, Sushi rides the gorgeous centre pony, community outings, swimming in the centre spa pool!, painting, singing and dancing or just the special day-to-day moments between kids and teachers. Having a direct dial to each of the rooms is so reassuring and keeps great, open communication. My kids are so supported and are constantly challenged with such an amazing sense of belonging. I can’t recommend Kidiwise enough, it truly feels like dropping my kids off to extended family.
We recently joined the Kidiwise family, and we are very impressed. The kids are starting to settle in well and we always feel much love and support from the team. The indoor outdoor flow and the environment to learn is great and so exciting for their young minds. Cant wait to see how my kids learn and grow here looking into the future
