Nice location. Great service and advices from the sommelier Fred. Champagne, Red&White wine were amazing. We enjoyed and shared all dishes. A great evening with friends from for a private birthday.
We had a great meal at Divellec. Definitely lived up to the one Michelin star. The price was a bit steep standing at 125€ pp but was relatively fair considering the quality of service. Everything was good. A few callouts, the fricassee de champignons is average I wouldn’t order it again. The Risotto side was exquisite. The tuna tartare is ridiculously good. The Baba au Rhum was made tableside with the restaurant’s own rhum. Wow! The montblanc was a delight. The calque de bar was not so great honestly. The moules with curry sauce was the highlight, visually and taste wise an excellent dish and very fairly priced too 38€ Overall delicious meal and would visit again. I would have given the place 4 stars for food but the service is excellent so I’ll keep it at 5 stars.
Excellent experience! Lots of Attention to details in service and food. Wine list was extensive and fairly priced. Ambience was chic and comfortable.
#82 in my Parisian Michelin Stars Challenge. One this Michelin star you wish there are more. What’s interesting here? It s good and it’s a brasserie dedicated to the sea. I wish they were more Michelin Star like that. It’s elegant yet not oppressive. It’s flavorful yet simple. The service is at the right distance. Friendly enough but very respectful. The crowd although being mainly wealthy people from the surrounding working or living, an epicurean tourist wouldn’t feel out of place. The design is made so you have few neighbors. The main thing here is that it’s really good. Not crazy haute cuisine. But just simply very good, so good in fact that you want to come back. I could speak for hours about the Brandade or the soup, but I guess you should just come and try. Perfect spot to have a very long lunch. Very solid one star actually a top tiers brasserie. Update 2022: My darling asked me for a nice brasserie for a girls dinner. My first instinct was Pavyllon, my second this one. I had nice feedback from both recommendations. I went back to try dinner with a friend. It does deliver. Just be aware of the à la carte prices. It’s not the only restaurant from this chef. Here the mandate seems to be « a great brasserie that, by the way, has a Michelin star ». You won’t feel the specific Michelin Star atmosphere, but more the good vibe of an upscale and wealthy brasserie. It’s definitely a very solid star.
The place was recommended by the Saint James hotel which is a relais et chateau. What a disappointments! its pretentious bad place.The all thing is a massive rip off. we will never go again ... Service is a joke the treatment was definitely different from other people around who seems to be local, including the young sommelier who didn’t let us made our own choice of wine, was clearly pushing for the most expensive champagne and wine… offering red wine to go with sea food!!! Mistakes on our order, starter arrived two times when we ordered only one, for the main course wrong fish arrived, 15 minutes arguing with 3 different staff pretending the mistake was from us … they didn’t apologize, they didn’t proposed any solution, just asking us to wait another 20 minutes to replace… the dish! I feel ashamed as a Parisian with international friends with me that night to have such expensive bad experience … because this is NOT how French know how to host guests! Proportions are not big with their mistakes We left the restaurant with the feeling we only ate bread, butter and tarama … with few amuse bouche.. it totally ruin our experience and our friends reunion! #saintjameshotel #relaisetchateau
My first Michelin starred restaurant, I am not qualified to comment on the food but I enjoyed it, so there is that.
The sashimi, wine and service was fine hence the two stars. Main courses however were a disaster. We had the brandade and grilled sole. The brandade, which cost € 45, tasted worse than the frozen ones from the grocery store. It had absolutely zero taste. It also came with a sallad that was anything but fresh. All soggy. The grilled sole, which cost something like € 70 was decent but not any better than you would get at some mid range restaurant for probably less than half the price. Restauraunt did not live up to our expectations.
Had an amazing lunch. Service was warm, and wine selection extraordinary. Everything we had was made to perfection - starters of crab mean and ceviche surprisingly big and a great usage for finger lime were great. Monkfish and scallops were both perfect. Dessert of chocolate souffle was again perfect - not too hot and not too sweet.
My mom and I went to this seafood based restaurant not knowing what to expect and left amazed and content. Not only was the food spectacular and fresh but the whole experience was amplified by the location of the restaurant and by the more than lovely staff. And I would like to give a special thank you to Bob Middleton who was charming, funny and polite the whole way. And even though you’re 16 they still give you crayons if you ask nicely haha.
Excellent service with excellent food. The quality of seafood served was superior to your average. Contrary to many Michelin starred restaurants their portions are quite generous. The waiters and wine sommelier were all on point. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed without being too uptight. Both carpaccio of coquille saint Jacques and the sea-bass were excellent and faultless. Their sole was also excellent; served with a smoked potato puree.Desserts were great in particular the mille feuille with coffee flavorings. Highly recommended!
