This cafe is near Craters of the moon.. Good service, fresh fish and delicious, price is reasonable, beautiful scenery, warm atmosphere. Kids menu is affordable and my son loves his eggs on toast. I rate 4 stars because I don’t see the chips as appetizing.
Hidden gem! The helicopter was what first attracted us to stop by and we are glad we did so. Didn’t expect to find such an amazing and super friendly Kiwis working at this cafe. The food was unexpectedly amazing! The halloumi rubbery cheese was salty and yummy!
It has a very fair price, quick service, for the Big fat Greek breakfast! What a meal, needed those calories for the rest of the day. It's great that the place is so close to a few other places, like the mountain bike park, hiking trails, the craters of the moon park, and you can literally go on to helicopter rides for hire. Also, if you're a traveling family there's an helicopter for photos that you can get inside of, sit and see around. Overall, I really liked the food and the options around it!
The date scones was not bad. Coffee was not to my taste and also the quiche was a bit plain. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things here.
We visited on an exceptionally beautiful day. We were out for a walk and this was a half way break. I mention this as all we purchased was two drinks and a bowl of curly fries. However our welcome was friendly, and we felt valued. We were informed they are dog friendly and they also went to the effort of bringing a bowl of water for our pooch as well. The fries were beautifully cooked and our drinks delightfully refreshing. Other food brought to other tables looked appealing and we left having had a wonderful experience. Definitely a go back to place set in a unique environment.
Really good food! They plate it up like a restaurant, didn’t expect this quality. Had the greek yogurt breakfast and crustless spinach feta quiche. The quiche had a bit of spinach and feta on the top, bottom was mostly egg. The flavor on top was really good, would like it more mixed tho! Lot’s of variety and healthy options as well! Keto and vegetarian friendly.
Love our quick meal here, with Greek influence. The caramelised onion was delish! The takeaway coffee cup is so pretty!
10/10 despite being very busy! Could smell the delicious food from outside. Warm friendly atmosphere, great kids toys, excellent menu and cabinet food. Had a very tasty seafood chowder and kids fish and chips which were both a scrummy and filled us up on a very cold day. The chef acknowledged us as we said thank you, wait staff were friendly and professional. Easy parking and the novelty of access to the old chopper was a fun experience for my child. Clean environment and if it was local to us we’d be back again and again. Next time we pass by we’ll be back. Thank you

Lovely cave, plenty of seats both inside and outside, there were kids toys available sadly several that didn't work but that didn't seem to upset the kids. There is a kids menu. There are plenty of choices on the main menu as well specials. There is a giant helicopter that you can explore with was amazing and we even got to see a helicopter setting off which the kids there was the bomb. Kid-friendliness: Kids toys, friendly staff, plenty for kids to do. Parking: Heaps of parking right next to the Cafe
