Lots of information about kawerau and new Zealand here. Clean toilets to use while waiting for your bus. Plenty of merchandise to purchase and there is plenty of benches to wait on while the bus arrives. You could stop here for a breather if doing long trips too as they have picnic table to enjoy your lunch on along with bathrooms.

Very helpful and polite to deal with. Have me all the information I needed and the facilities were nice and clean. Stop in and say hi if your in the area and looking for activities to do, it's worth your time
Went to the falls today and the lady who got me my permit i think her name was Tania was really friendly, helpful, informative and most importantly very enthusiastic about Kawerau with a big smile on her face. A credit to the visitor centre.
