Kawau Island is only 1 hours drive north of Auckland harbour bridge and then a half an hour's boat ride out to the island. There are no roads or cars on the island, so it's very peaceful. Once you arrive you can go kayaking around the safe inlets, go walking through unique bush clad hillside, visit the famous Mansion House estate and walk to the coppermine. Great place to enjoy a picnic or coffee at the little cafe that is open during the summer.
Kawau Lodge has 4 bedrooms, 2 queens rooms with ensuites and an additional queens room and a room with 2 sets of bunks rooms, all the queen rooms have their own deck area and magical views, great place for you to sit and relax plus there are lots of other areas around the property where you can relax and read a book or just enjoy the tranquility.
