We went to the Sunday farmers market, its was great with so many different stalls and lots of nice food and snacks. Given the small area, parking was a bit difficult but parking further away and a short walk solved that. Some of the stallholders didn't have EFTPOS machines and in the spirit of contactless payments we don't want to be handling cash but many stalls do take cards.
Unfortunately, the hall was not clean before we went in to decorate for my Son, and now daughter-in-law's wedding. Months of dirt, paper planes, drink bottles and junk lined the rafters. Luckily I had taken my ladder.nThe toilets stunk, there was only one plug for the kitchen sinks... it was plastic and broken. We used glad wrap to stop the water getting out.nThe hall was hired from midday Friday through until midday Sunday.nSo, a premium price was paid, for a hall that is not kept up to a decent standard. We cleaned, before, and after our celebrations, everyone had a good time and all is good.nIf you are going to charge Auckland council rates, instead of Kaukapakapa community hall rates, a better looked after product should be supplied.nI am not one to usually complain, either!

Good place for a quick stop and toilet break. The toilets are both accessible toilets and lots of parking spaces. There is also a playground nearby for the kids and some tables and chairs.
The old-n’-reliable community hall of Kaukapakaka! Whenever an event is held here, you can be sure that the venue is top-notch, with lots of space and clean facilities.
