Story

Katherine is an actor, artist, and film/ theatre & visual arts industry professional with over twenty years experience. She grew up at The King’s Head Theatre in London and spent her early life learning the ropes on and off the stage. After many years as a jobbing actor, garnering outstanding reviews in film, TV and theatre, alongside founding her own physical therapy business, gaining an Honours degree in Animal Science and working in wildlife conservation, research, charity fundraising and administration; Katherine emigrated to NZ where she branched out into screenwriting, directing, producing, curating, event management, digital design and production management.

In 2012 Katherine co-founded Sea Star Studio - a fine art gallery and event space in Seatoun. Sea Star Studio subsequently evolved into film production company Sea Star Creations. Katherine went on to write, direct and produce short film Goblin Market, which has screened at the Cinematic Arts Film Festival in LA and gone on to win a Best Cinematography Award at The Auckland International Film Festival.
