After driving 7 hours to our previous stay that fell through, we were recommended this place over the long weekend. The staff were amazing and were able to fit us in last minute to closing time. My partner and I very much enjoyed it, was super cozy. The Heaters were on making for a lovely warm room, lovely atmosphere. We cannot recommend this place enough that we will be coming back.
Arrived late at night .. lights and heater left on in our room for us.nVery friendly and welcoming hosts who were very attentive to our needs.nThe room had everything we wanted [and more] .. good array of teas and coffee, hand wash shampoo & conditioner provided, and towels changed daily. Very high standards of cleanliness!nWould definitely recommend, and would come back again.
John and Francis are the most amaizing hosts ever, nothing is a problem and with them both going through a massive career change only 6 months ago October 2023, they are both doing an amazing job in their new venture.nWith the motel going through an update and its proximity to the motorway and Wellington, it makes the perfect place to stage yourself for that trip to or from the Cook Straight Ferries or for corporates doing business in the city that just want to be out of town.nWith restaurants, supermarkets, busses and train all within walking distance and the beach only being a 5 minute drive away, this is almost the perfect location.nI stayed for a few nights for work but i hope i get to come back and enjoy this lovely little gem at another time.nThank you to you both.
