KAPITI AERO CLUB
You’ve dreamed of flying, we can make that a reality.

Whether you’re an aspiring to be the captain of an A320, you want the flexibility to tour the country on your terms, or you simply wish to experience the joy of flying, Kapiti Aero Club has over 25 years of experience teaching all types of pilots.
We have an ideal training environment, as we do not experience the delays encountered at major airports due to large aircraft arriving and departing, but practice within a busy traffic environment is possible due to the short flight times from Paraparaumu to Wellington, Palmerston North or Nelson.
Call us on (04) 902 6536, or drop in and see us on Paraparaumu Airport, off Kapiti Road 7 days a week, 8-5 daily to start your career, or to simply expand your horizons.

Prices range from $145 through to $360 for our trial flights.

Had the absolute best time at Kapiti Aero Club, John, my instructor was so kind, let's you fly pretty much the whole flight and gave you a view that is once in a life time of Kapiti and the whole coast. Thanks Kapiti Aero Club for the great experience

Started flying lessons again from here, staff are great and it's an awesome little aerodrome

My husband got me a trial aerobatic flight for christmas. Pilot Andy was so awesome!! He took me up and pulled out all his best spins and rolls!!! Such an amazing experience. Would highly recommend. Thank you Kapiti Aero club for such an enjoyable afternoon

Such a friendly bunch of staff and members at Kāpiti aeroclub! Always feel welcomed when I pop in. Sad to see some of my favourite instructors leave for the airlines lately, but hey, that’s credit to the great standard of flying at Kāpiti aeroclub.

I sure do love the 87 Cessnas flying directly over my house 900 times a day, not annoying at all. Very considerate of them to start at 7:00am as well as finish at like 9:00pm, I don’t need to sleep. :

Amazing stuff and instructors, I had an  awesome trail flight and recommend it for anyone that’s wants to get into flying or just wants to have a go

Disgusting. A Cessna Flying over Katihiku marae Yesterday in Tehoro.. 4.30 pm approx....Dipped and Dived lnto  a Congregation of mourners    people bringing in  a dead Body . Repeatedly  until the Congregation.. Responded in Anger.. Why Would your Pilots  behave Iike   in such an intrusive  manner.? . We were Shocked and Disgusted..  Applying for No fly zone.. At Next Lanx Meeting.. now  What ever it takes..  Disgusted.. grrrrr How dare you..

Kapiti Aero Club is a must if you have any intention of learning how to fly.  I've been coming here on the weekends as I work full time to work towards my first solo and eventually my PPL. The staff shoutout to Trinity, Ashton and Scott! are nothing short of professional and the aircraft are in good condition and maintained well.  Don't hesitate to come here if you're thinking of learning how to fly!  PS I need to attend more club social events
