My experience in dealing with Council staff at various times over the years has been all positive. Special mention needs to be made in relation to Wendy from Animal Control, who is an extremely caring and compassionate lady
Very set in their ways re trees taking sunlight and warmth from residents. Need to be more willing to look at solutions that suit everyone and abide by the law which states your trees mustn't impinge on neighbors enjoyment of their own property. It shouldn't be so difficult to see this tree is far too big to be in a residential area and causing problems by taking hours of sunshine and warmth in the middle of winter
I had the pleasure of working with Alan B from Kāpiti Coast District Council, and I couldn't be more impressed. Alan was incredibly helpful in walking me through the council's plans for my property, providing clear and detailed information. He was prompt in responding to my queries, demonstrating not only a deep knowledge of the plans but also a trustworthy and professional approach. I had an appointment with Alan last week. I was seriously impressed. Alan was incredibly knowledgeable, very informative, went out of his way to be helpful and had a keen sense of humour.
