To create and facilitate excellence in health care education, particularly that pertaining to aged care globally.
This is a new organisation however the owners have extensive and very successful story in the development and management of a Category One private training organisation called Corporate Academy Group which was first registered in 1999. This company specialised in the delivery of First Aid training to secondary schools, the Wananga and to the Auckland Police. In 2004 CAG received its first Government funding to provide a level 4 health care programme to Pasifika. Over the next twelve years programmes on offer included: NZ Defence Force Preparation, Health Care, Automotive, Early Childhood Education, Retail, Ambassadors, Lifeguards, Concrete Laying, Security, and Intensive Numeracy and Literacy. A close relationship remained with the secondary school sector and thus programmes were designed for the Gateway and Star Funds.
The primary people involved in CAG were the Clark family; Christine who provided the leadership and vision, Michael providing financial management, Kelly as the General Manager and Alex who restructured Gateway and created resources.
After 17 years CAG was sold and Christine, Kelly and Alex will use their knowledge, skills and expertise to develop Kalandra; the hub of health studies. The focus on health and in particular in aged care is in response to the findings of Doctoral Studies undertaken by Christine.
