Our family and friends loved staying here. We really love to go back like I already ask the customer service if we can do an advance booking....the rooms were cleaned...the kitchen as well and all cooking ware and utensils are well provided...the location was quiet and not too crowded...additional with that was the great view from kaiteriteri beach.nMaybe it would help you a lot if you bring all you need when having a long vacation like I do,specially when you have kids. I prepared all bathrooms fragrance and cleaning wipesnSo it would help you think that you're just staying at home.nJust one little problem that I think they might sort out...just an electricfan inside the room specially during summernBut all in all we love staying here
If you're planning to stay here, don't stay in rooms 3, 4, or 5! Once the restaurant next door quietens down, you'll be kept awake by people using the adjacent reception/lobby as their personal video call area into the wee hours. If that doesn't keep you up, the constant slam of the self-closing doors will. Great location but wouldn't recommend if you want a good night's sleep.
Stayed here for one night during my Kiwi Experience Hop on hop off bus tour since this is their default accommodation. Paid 50$ for a bed in a 4 bed dorm which was in a super small hut not even space to put out backpacks; suitcases didn’t fit under the beds and no working AC. There were 2 toilets and 2 showers next to the hut for about 20 people. Kitchen was ok.
Pulled into a park and within 10 seconds a guy came over and asked if we were staying here, we said no but stated we were going to eat at the beached whale as sign states its for accom and resturaunt use but he said its parking for accom only so we said yup allgood and he kept of repeating himself about how there are actually paying customers who need this park, we never argued just kept saying yup yup yup allgood over and over again and he passive agressivley places a no parking cone right next to me and my car and it was just like what bro?? we never argued with you just us a bloody minute. Act and communicate like an adult! and funny thing is i regularly come and stay but i wont be now. off putting and rude and immature
We stayed in the hotel part, and the room was small for 4 people, but we didn't need much so that it was okay. There's a nice big sharing kitchen was which was nice because we were able to be social with group that was with us, but there was not a lot of utensils for cooking, so we ended up going out for a meal. I don't think the fridges or pantries cleaned out often because it was lots of moldy food, and they smelt.nnBedroom was either too hot or too cold, and it was really hard to control the temperature. The laundry must have changed because it was the most expensive place I have ever seen for washing. By charge per 10 minutes! The last negative was we were next door to the pub and some people left at midnight and were really loud outside our room and I have little kids that were worken up, and I had to ask them to move on....nHowever the staff were really lovely and you absolutely couldn't beat it for location!
