Story

Kaitaia Public Library is the northernmost public library in New Zealand. On February 13th, 2012 we moved from our previous Melba Street location to Te Ahu, an award winning multifunction facility.

One of the services Far North District Council can be proud of. My printers broken and I've used library a couple times a week. Couldn't be simpler. And cheap. I might not get another oriented lol
Amazing. Usually quite peaceful, though occasionally there may be children running around. I managed to find a pretty cool book that I had seen good reviews of on the internet fairly quickly, which is also super great! An awesome, air-conditioned place for relaxing with a book. The staff are super kind and great at their job, too!
Very helpful staff in very clean modern premises.
Always helpful and friendly also a lot of knowledge regarding books you maybe wanting. More then willing to find out through other libraries if it is available should they not have it. Easy access for wheelchairs nice little cafe information center and souvenir shop which also holds lost and found items for the carpark and close fecundity. Available to are conference rooms and large hall with cooking facilities. Large parking area off South Road which is a second entrance with nice rest area. Pick up drop off point for buses and effluent deposit for camper Vans at far end of car park opposite complex to the right as you enter carpark.
My visit to Kaitaia Library today was certainly a positive one, as is usual. The staff were friendly and helpful and on first name terms. A real family atmosphere. They do quite a challenging role with a diverse range of the local community and beyond. They gave me a chromebook to use along with offering me extra time so that my work for this day could be completed. Thank you!
Coffees good. I always ask for extra hot. And thus is nice and hot
Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great layout and the online ordering portal is amazing. The email notification system is great - I always know when ordered books have arrived in or when my borrowed books are due to be returned, and being able to order books from other branches in the north is a real bonus. Doing a fantastic job guys!!
Love the Foyer very welcoming effect. The staff were so friendly and accomodating, made us feel good to be home.

No help is too much trouble for the staff whether they are attending to adults or children. The surroundings are beautiful. Plenty of parking very close at hand and easy access.
