Best fish and chips in Kaitaia. A bit of a wait but perfection takes time. Fish so fresh it's like it was just pulled from the sea. Chips were perfect, good sausage and crab sticks were just the way I like them. Perfect batter on the potato fritter and not soggy with grease.
Alan was amazing and very helpful . Fresh fish cooked and served to dine-in or take away. Check out the fresh fish for the day. Its the only open restaurant proper lunch options on Christmas day
Was not happy with our order last night for dinner. The battered mussels were off, tasted awful. The chips were over cooked & dry. I guess I’ll be going elsewhere next time.

On the way back from the Cape Reinga to Matauri Bay called into Kaitaia and brought hot dogs, hamburgers, fish and chips to feed five adults and eight children aged 5yrs through to 14yrs. Everything was yummy. Totally recommend the food from this fish and chips shop hence the 5 stars

We ordered , didn’t take long even though there were a few people there Awesome portion size Chips were fantastic even locals brought in Ika/fish to be cooked for them Would recommend if your looking for a good place to have a feed/Kai to pop in.
