Their day time opening hours vary. As of 31/12/2022 , it was shown that they are closed around 12 noon. But, when I pass by, they were opened. I asked the front desk staff about the same, he said it depends upon the demand. Price is moderate. But honestly food wasn't tasty. So, could only say was ok as not much Indian restaurant options are there in Kaikoura. They need to work on their recipe enhancing. Parking: Free street parking if u r lucky.
Absolutely amazing, I wish I could give 6 stars. After all the bad experience with restaurants in Kaikoura, this one felt like a huge relief. The service was just great, food arrived fast enough and was super delicious. I fully recommend!
Wouldn't usually rate an Indian restaurant 5 star but this place was awesome, I got a non vegetarian banquette which is an awesome deal, a mixed entree with a delicious samosa, onion bahji and other items. As well as a delicious poppadum. Already filled me up before the main, whilst I thought the entree was bigger than the main, I couldn't eat it all and had to get a takeout container. What I had of the main was delicious. Not too spicy. Impressed with the service and the quality of food. Definitely recommend this place. The samosa, poppadum and mango Lassi were amazing.
Got take away. The food was really delicious. If you ask for your food spicy it will be really spicy. Dishes come with rice and are super filling Biryani also came with quite a lot of meet. I would say it is enough for 2 small eaters. One minor complaint is the naan is really not nice. So dont order that.
Very good food! We had Chicken Tikka Masalla & Butter Chicken and were very happy with our choice. The waiter was super friendly and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible switching off the air conditioning on our request.Recommended dishesButter Chicken
Absolutely blown away by the service and quality of the food. They were happy to cook my favourite AND according to my dietary preferences even though it wasn't on the menu. The food was brought quickly, piping hot and in generous portions. Will definitely be back and I recommend anyone who hasn't yet, to visit as well. Dietary restrictions: They offer vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, and gluten free options. Being a proper Indian restaurant they know how to cater to dietary restrictions.
Today, I ordered a takeaway prawn curry. The flavours were spot on and I received a reasonable amount of prawns. I cannot fault the meal and will look forward to returning. On my top list of dining options in Kaikoura. I did pickup the meal at lunchtime but received the dinner size which reflected the price. No problems as I reheated for dinner anyway.
Delicious Indian food in Kaikoura. We ordered aloo gobhi, malai kofta curry, and veggie fried rice. The flavor was excellent.
All 3 of us had a delicious meal here 3 different meals , service was great, fast very accommodating to 2 vegans. Our first real good meal in 2 weeks touring the island ; will keep this place as our main dinner hub in Kaikoura Vegetarian options: Several vegan options dairy free + vegetarian Dietary restrictions: Vegan
