Yummy Pies! Liked their meat pie with potato mash.
Prices are pretty steep. The cost of a tiny savoury for example. Can't complain though as I still stop in every time I drive through.
Don't buy coffee here. One thing they could really improve is the coffee machine. It's the second time we try and we regret it. Not good at all. Also great variety on the bakery side but not good quality products. The choc muffin was just bleh. The blueberry custard roll had too much going on and we couldn't even taste the custard on it. To top it off, the workers there also look like they are over it, so they aren't very friendly.
Loved this bakery. Staff super warm, welcoming and friendly. The shop is clean. And the food is goooood. We love these mini critters they make.
Curry Mince Pie for $7.20 and it was only worth $5.00 Maximum as the Quantity of Mince was Poor & the Curry Powder was added after the Mince had been Cooked instead of the Meat being Cooked in the Curry. I also Purchased A Cottage/Potatoe top Pie & was Charged $8.80 and there was hardly any meat in it as it was all Potatoe. Very Very Poor/Daylight Robbery & Ripped Off So I Won't be going back to that Shop again. Although I would suggest that if U Want a Nice Feed at a Reasonable Price then Yous Won't be going to that Bakery in Kaikoura main Street North either.
Terrible pies for $7!! My steak and cheese had two pieces of steak and my partners steak mushroom had one big piece of steak and 3 slices of mushroom both mostly gravy This used to be an amazing bakery, sadly we won't bother stopping again
Yummy food , we drove from Blenheim to this just for their cream donuts and custard pie, yummy
We had the steak and cheese pie and honey nustard chicken and a donut roll with cream. Steak and cheese pie, mentionwd by an other review, was mostly sauce, even less Meat than in the supermarket. Tastewise same as supermarket. The donut roll was a bit hard and not much taste. Evereything is quite pricey, definitely for the quality. Ill just hop the new world tomorrow morning for a pie.
I came into this shop with two of my friends, myself and one other friend being vegetarian and were hankering for a vegetarian pie. We saw one pie labelled “Mountain top veg” and my friend in front of me in the line asked the blonde older woman working at the counter what was in it. She rolled her eyes at him, clearly annoyed that she had to go get the ingredients list and rattled off what was in it. I didn’t manage to hear all of this so when I got to the counter I just asked her if there was any meat in it, and in response she replied in a very snarky tone that “obviously there was no meat as it’s a veg pie” and grumbled a few more things about me asking the question. I decided not to even get anything because I was so taken aback by her attitude. I don’t know if this lady just got up on the wrong side of bed this morning, but she was still grumbling about me asking that question when even my other friend approached the counter. So all in all due to the customer service I’ve given one star. Rumour has it she’s still grumbling about me asking if there was meat in the pie to this day.
No butter chicken pies. $7 reach pie. I've tasted better... But they were ok.
