What a stunning view. We were there during sun rise. If you’re driving further, this is a nice stop to stretch your legs and take some photos. Nothing else there though, just the view.
Nice place to stop on the drive for a rest. Good views. Watch out for the electric fence, but there's a small unfenced section if you want to take a look. Be careful, there's some rubbish dumped there, and some rough terrain. Also not sure if you're 'allowed' to.
Lovely spot to flex your legs and feast your eyes along the highway. The views are magnificent. The pullout is small though - can hardly accomodate a few cars or one bus. The wire claims to be live electric, so careful. But a beautiful spot indeed showcasing the rolling greens of north NZ
Very small lookout, but the view is nice and not overgrown. Has an electric fence around the view so not ideal if you have little kids that touch things
One of the best rest stops! But be prepared, all the tourist busses stop there so not really all that much space when a huge bus or two pulls up

Great place to have a quick stretch on your drive, can be a good place to get some nice photos, a lot of other photographers will get much better images than I can.
Falls enroute to Rotorua while coming from Auckland. Can be used for a quick pit stop to stretch ur arms n legs while enjoying the scenic n panaromic view
