K9 Retreat is a safe and secure farmstay accommodation where dogs can run and play safely with other social dogs.
K9 Retreat is unlike any other boarding accommodation, we only look after a small numbers of dogs which means your dog stays in a fun and relaxed environment and is provided with personal care and attention, just like the love they receive at home.
K9 Retreat is a unique alternative to traditional kennels. The dogs are not locked away in kennels/ runs. They have fun in small social groups with companionship through out the day.
Established in 2011 & set in rural Pokeno you will find 5 1/2 acres of pure dog paradise for small and medium sized social dogs.
I have extensive experience with dogs. I have shown dogs, bred dogs,and done obedience with dogs. Dogs have been part of my life since I was very young & I could never imagine not having dogs in my life. I have 14 yrs experience as a Veterinary Nurse and 12 yrs experience working and running the Breeding Centre at Guide Dogs until establishing K9 Retreat.
