Story

Owned by Felicity Gabites, Just Eat Cake is a registered cake decorator who provides celebration cakes,wedding cakes, cupcakes, delectable treats and Christmas cakes. Made from scratch with the freshest ingredients, all my products are created with passion and flair for reasonable prices.

With over twenty years experience in the food industry and a former owner of a popular Timaru cafe, I have been creating cakes and baking goodies for over a decade. I know the impact a spectacular cake can create on a party's guests; therefore, I always take the time to consult with my customers and ensure I fully understand exactly what type of creation they want. I then turn their vision into a reality.

Bought cake today for my daughter's birthday. Fruits on top was disgusting taste. It wasn't fresh at all. Heard cake box cake is good but my experience very disappointing.
I usually get my cakes from cakebox but this time i was very disappointed. The picture in the middle was alot smaller than what they advertise on their website. The zebra print around the sides were coming off, the picture in the middle was all bubbly, came up in all the pictures! I wish i got another cake from somewhere else. Maybe standard cakes are fine but ill never order a designed cake from here ever again! Order pick up time was 4 but the cake wasn’t ready even though it was ordered maybe a week in advance. Updated: Although the experience yesterday was bad, ive changed my review to 5stars as they were kind enough to email me to apologise and give me a new cake at no extra cost.
Cake is tasty? It's tasty enough. It has no eggs because it's all about whipped cream. Cheap, less effort, super heavy. Let's say that, for an average person with no experience in baking, this could be considered super delicious. But if you have some knowledge and skills in baking cakes, you will probably know that this is just a cheap short cut to make cakes. I still enjoyed my slice and will probably purchase again in the future. However, this is nothing compared to a real Italian or French sponge cake.
I was in desperate need of cupcakes for a party and I didn't have time to order online, so I called and a kind woman on the other line said there are some available for pick up, which was amazing and I was overjoyed.

Cakes that taste as good as they look, and they look fabulous! A lot of bakeries have great looking stuff on display, but when you taste it, it's bland or disappointing The Cake Box delivers good taste! It's definitely worth a visit.
