Have only ever had the smorgasbord so can’t comment on anything else on the menu. They have always been really tasty and flavoursome. Especially love the honey beef and sweet and sour pork. Usually get 6 choices and always plenty left over for lunch the next day. Staff always very happy and friendly and well organised.
Ordered half an hour ago and chips were undercooked with very little to no seasoning and cold. Can tell staff wanted to go home and sacrificed on quality Remember we are paying money that we worked for and expect it to be up to scratch!
Fish and chip menu is VERY limited, and chips are no good at all. Their focus is more on the Chinese smorgasbord.Food: 2/5

Used to be my favorite place for smorgasbord but the prices have been hiked up so much, it's now too expensive to feed a family.Food: 3/5
Over priced and underwhelming! Don’t know why we were given cold chips and cold sweet and sour pork when we weren’t late to pick up the food we were waiting 10 min for the order to be finished. Also paid for extra meat in our Chinese and we’re given the least amount you can fit in the container. Will be avoiding this place in future!!
Gone downhill a bit, prices seem to expensive for what you get. Smorgasbord, chicken all tastes the same, fish is oily like kahawai, so not to my taste. Burgers still good size and flavour but missing a bit of filling ie steak and egg just steak egg and a patty in a bun with a splodge of lettuce mayo. Off the menu, will go elsewhere.
First time my partner and I tried Jo's Cook here in Wainuiomata, usually we go to Miramar. My partner and I got ourselves a smorgasbord each, and the food was delicious! I especially loved the spare ribs. Only complaint is I didn't get the text message they said they'll give when the order was ready, so was a little delayed picking it up, and wasn't as hot due to that. I'll go straight to the counter next time instead of waiting

Excellent takeaways. Very good selection of food with the smorgasbord, all made to a high standard and tastes delicious. Very well run establishment and it shows by just how busy they always are. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an A+ takeaway dinner meal.
