The Hovding Gallery has been created out of space that is New Zealand Natural Clothing in Lower Norsewood off State Highway 2 .
Jeff Bryan Kiwi Carver Hovding Gallery opened in December 2011 in what was the old Dairy companies bulk loading store, then was used as a bailing area for offcuts of fabric and woolen yarns by Norsewear. The partial dirt floor was brick cobbled by Graham Rix and now hosts artisan and functional furniture.
In the NZ Natural Clothing store, there is an extension of the gallery in the old Norsewear Boardroom that hosts other artists works and some of Jeffs smaller pieces. Jeff is mainly working on commission works that include anniversaries, garden art and furniture. His main source of media is River Totara and recycled Totara strainers fro sheep stations by the coast, moss and wire gate dog hardware make the works fantastic.
