Bought a house just recently that was renovated by JD homes. Few things felt rushed and not properly thought through. Obsolete cords hanging out of multiple walls throughout the house, with one in the bathroom that’s been covered in paint to “hide”. Skirting board gaps. Gap under sink in bathroom that lets cold air in, gap next to fire half that you can see through. Unfinished/ unpainted wardrobe in spare room. Paint has started peeling in a few places, the house was also painted in the cold so when we had the fire going, the paint expanded and you could see all the splitting throughout the panelling in the kitchen. You can see it was a rushed paint job all throughout the house with drip marks all down the walls. Rubbish bags of builders stuff was left under the deck. I can provide proof of every one of these issues too. This is just obviously a one off as it seems every other job they do it phenomenal. This is a house that has given us a good start to renovate to a much higher standard.
Couldn’t fault JD’s communication, expertise and workmanship. I had some difficult remedial work done on my hill home and I was extremely happy with their work. Would definitely recommend and use them again. Thanks JD and team.
I looked at this company and visited the show home in preparation for my upcoming build in Rolleston. I found the owner quite arrogant, rude and condescending so decided to go with another building company. Customer service certainly isn't his strong point.
