An easy online process to book a vehicle. Although a large bond the actual hireage fee $85.00 is relatively low, your given option to refill tank from your preferred gas station or on return to depo. This cost is minimal depending on your trip. Kms are low. All up for the 5 hours I had the truck small $16.00 kms and diesel $85.00 hire $101.00 and excess bond was returned. However, I'd recommend using cash for your bond as there is a wait time for 2 days maybe more if paying with visa for bond online. Trucks are a little worn inside cab no problems just don't add to it as they photograph truck before leaving depot. All in all I always use them and am always satisfied with the service. Recently rented a van for half a day. Good service, cheaper rates. Vans may not be flashy but highly recommend if you are on a budget.
One of the easiest & friendliest truck rental firms I have ever encountered. Cannot recommend them more highly to anyone doing there own house move.
I literally live around the corner from JB so it only makes sense to use them because of proximity. I started using JB a few years ago now and have been a regular customer since. I've hired vans, trailers and trucks. The truck fleet is a little tired but they are practical and have never had an issue. The trailers I've used have been great and served their purpose well. The vans have been good as well. Sure..you will have the odd dings and scratches etc but it is a rental company. I've always received great service with a smile and they have always been pleasant to deal with. Absolute 10/10
I hired a furniture trailer for 3 days only to find out the hard way that it had a major leak in a corner of the roof, saturating the couch I had stored in that corner when it rained. The corner had very obviously been recently damaged and patched black silicon all around it. I raised this issue when I returned the trailer, requesting if some amount could be taken off the total bill to provide some compensation for the damage. My request was met with initial denial "that can't be leaking, we've just had it repaired" and was then blamed that I shouldn't have expected it to be water tight. I have been a customer for almost 20 years but won't be returning.
James Blond is always our go to for moving vans. The team is great and up front, service is thorough, prices are reasonable. Good bunch of people.
Have hired vans and trucks before. This time hired KIA Sorento with current SUV promotion. Good price for vehicle size. Great vehicle, was still quite new under 10,000km. Same service as always, straight forward, clear instructions on hire policies, insurance and overview of vehicle. Pick up, drop off. Simple. Thank you.
Booked a truck weeks in advance went to pick it up and they didn't even have the truck there that I had booked. After this bunch of incompetence the staff member said he would give me a van and a furniture trailer. He pulled the trailer out where my partner noticed the tire was completely flat. He swapped it with another trailer while we hung around for an hour watching him attempt to pump up the tyres. I had also paid for a hand trolley which they didn't even have and tried to give me one out the back with a broken axle and flat tyre unusable. The manager ?lady was rude and wouldn't even discount for the incompetence and inconvenience. Would not recommend or waste your time with this unorganised place.
Got a quote for a rental with a specific request for a taillift, but when I went to pay, there was no taillift vehicles left. Explanation, was we dont hold vehicles untill paid for. Ensure you know what you are going to get.
I was expecting a newer model as it was advertised as 2017 or similar. I was given a 2011 model with 220k on the clock. The van is ok to drive and economical considering it age and mileage. Customer service is fine without any issues.
