Welcome to Jacobs Digital,

We are a nationwide online & retail store based in Auckland that sells Photographic, Sports Optics, Telescopes and Metal Detectors among other products since 1982!

We have NZ's largest selection of Metal Detectors, Telescopes, Binoculars and Microscopes in any physical location within NZ.

Fantastic team to deal with, good customer service both over the phone and via their web chat. They do try to go out of their way to help and I'm happy to have purchased my detector and stuff from them. They package the items up quickly and you get an email very quickly with tracking information and pretty prompt delivery. Certainly would purchase again.
I have brought many good quality items from Jacobs digital Auckland, maximum of 3 day delivery to me in the top of the south, perfect! Great knowledgeable friendly staff, making sure the product I'm after suits my needs, on occasion saving me dollars. Cannot recommend Jacobs digital enough, my first go to !
5/5 for product quality & helpful staff. My item was a Kowa cover for my spotting scope that had to go on back order. It arrived sooner than expected based on the timeframe they advised which was great. Only down side was the ridiculous amount of packaging they sent with the cover whcih isn;t a fragile item that I then had to get rid of which then makes you wonder if that affected the courier costs. So unfortunately they lose a point for that. Lazy Courier also did not follow delivery instructions & left the box in the rain instead of at our front door under the porch, but I guess that isn't Jacobs fault however they may want to have a word with their courier provider to follow client instructions. Otherwise would have been 5/5. I would shop here again. Good people to deal with.
Very bad post purchase customer service. Bought a red dot scope from website. first time user so before i order I particularly phoned them asked what if it doesn't fit my rail, the staff said just bring it back we swap to something else n0 worries. I received the scope last week, from the box, the scope the glass is dusty and foggy inside, not able to clean at all. Well i understand this is just a cheap scope $70. I went back to store today. Even with i already told him, the dust and marks are inside the glass, he was still trying to clean it with cloth, then he picked up another same one just arrived to swap to me, but that one has exactly same issue on the glass. It just a poor quality product. So I hoped to spend extra money to upgrade to a better one. The staff first questioned me that it has been used because there were some paint loss on it. After I insisted i never used it, he turned around being judgmental that it is only $69 scope. He refused to do upgrade to me because he claimed he need to get credit from supplier first. They don't to hold stock on hand. I need to go back home and wait for their reply. The whole thing shouldn't be that complicated anyway. I was in retail myself over last 10 years, most of the places are doing change of mind refund and easy warranty swap. Plus i am not asking money back, I just simply don't trust this product of two failed in a roll, and willing to pay extra. This is not customer's problems that you want to hold stock or not, or you need to credit from your supplier. I know people will still buy things from them and they have over 800 good feedback here, but if you ever read this far and like me not sure what are getting, please DONT SHOP with them.
Always the best! Super, super friendly staff that are thorough & helpful every time! The team here have helped with restoring photographs, passport photos, video to usb and creating photo collages for us. Will always come here!
Awesome service awesome product. Have brought a Minelab X Terra Pro and an Equinox 6” coil from Jacobs Digital at different times. They both showed up within 2 days of ordering and very happy with both products.

Great product knowledge and great range of binoculars to choose from. Pleasure to have a technical conversation with great recommendations to suit my usage case instead of a pushy salesman. Post-purchase research aligned perfectly with what i was told/recommended in store. 10/10 would fly again.
I ordered some binoculars off their website. I then phoned for an update as it was after the black Friday sales, not knowing how badly this would effect the postage and shipping from their facility. The phone was answered promptly, they knew exactly where the parcel was/had been sent and it arrived on time. Great customer service and awesome products.
I went in to look a specific set of binoculars and was very impressed with the range and knowledge of the team at Jacobs. Ended up with a completely different set that were better quality and pricing. Really recommend these guys.
