Restaurant - The place is small, you will need to go early to find a place. You can not book in advance. Food - the chicken and waffle was nice, the chicken was a bit dry but with the sirup it was fine. The plantain was a bit soft and the cheese didn’t really make sense Drinks - they don’t have fizzy only normal juice, this is the guava juice Overall experience - The music was old school so we would Sing along and the vibe was good too
This Food was A class Amazing… super juicy authentic, mouth watering delicious. Service was excellent as well. Very friendly Service and super cheap
Very disappointing food. It was tasteless. I was concerned I had gotten Covid. Hopefully they were just having a bad night in the kitchen. The restaurant was super clean and the staff was very pleasant. We wanted to love this. It didn’t work out.
The food is just alright, very ordinary and nothing special. The flavor is very ordinary not so tasty, just fine, not remarkable. All are opposite to the review that we read online the service is not okay, we dine in with our 3 yrs old son even order a food for him but the waitress get his chair saying that the other table need one more chair, so we end up eating with our son on our lap. as I look behind us thereare two chairs available, she can just grab it instead of taking the seat from my son. she is rude not a baddas waitress but rude. the food again is just ordinary. the waffles is not freshly made it taste like a left over waffle from yesterday.
I am in Paris for the next week or so and didn’t want to visit traditional restaurants. I did a search for “black owned” places to eat and Mama Jackson popped up immediately. I am so happy it did because the food was great as was the atmosphere and service…and the food…WOW! You could tell that every item was made to order and the portions were HUGE; enough to share definitely! It’s extremely convenient to the 1 as well and easy to find.
We couldn’t get in this, and didn’t know you needed a reservation to visit. There is no taking the food to go either. It smelled amazing in there and we were truly heartbroken, but they sent us to another restaurant and the food was delicious! Call first and make a reservation and take a taxi because there is no parking.
We waited 1h to get seated by a rude waitress. Club chicken was bland. plantains were super drenched in oil and bbq chicken wings were burnt. Don't waste your time.
Friendly staff even though we could speak French! The food was lovely! had to get it for takeaway as we went there near closing and they was busy too!
Great place and food. A good balance between pricing and quality. The waiting time can be really long. The waitresses are kind welcoming. Don't forget to bring on week-end brunchFood: 4/5
This isn’t soul food. Flavorless & cold. Atmosphere & staff were welcoming.
