We're a ‘boutique’ grooming shop, where every dog receives the personal attention of the groomer, ensuring all of their needs are meet. We offer full grooming services through to our popular DIY dog wash! Call us today on 027 453 8627.

Story

At Its a Dog's Life, we offer various degrees of grooming from a full grooming service with all the extras, through to our ‘do it yourself’ dog washing facilities. There are secure pens in the shop, so you can leave your dog with us for a few hours, relaxing in the knowledge that they are safe and secure.

We also stock an excellent range of products for your dog, ranging from beds and leads, through to toys, treats, and cleaning products.

Based in the central Manukau, the shop has easy access, plenty of
parking with excellent retail shopping, entertainment and restaurants
in the area.

Brang my boy here for the first time and I was very happy with the services here. Receptionist was lovely and the groomer came and did a consult with me before taking him in. Took a bit longer as she noticed the drier made him anxious , previous groomers never mentioned that before so it was reassuring to know that they truly care and look after your pets needs here. I highly recommend this business and will now be bringing my boy her for all future grooms. Thank You Angels Grooming
Got mini poodle groomed today. Excellent customer service, the lady at the reception apologies, her name skips my mind is wonderful to deal with and very accommodating. They were able to fit my mini groom request in due to a last min cancellation! The groomer was also lovely and did great work. Super happy!
Wow, I just had my babies, Shinae - Maltese, and Brooza - long haired Jack Russell, groomed today. They were so amazing and so helpful. Crystal did the most awesome job. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone :-
I have been here 5 times now and they are the best. They have always managed to get me an appointment last minute. Really helpful and know the job well. They are not as expensive as Animates. Very friendly staff and good customer service.
The place is getting better, the A/C fresh the place up since it facing the Sun during the day, the team just bought this business from previous owner, they've done great. Service is good, I love how friendly and attentive they are, grooming side, it's good, but i've seen better, regardless i've enjoying their service.
I have been here twice now and very happy with both my dogs full grooming. I just hope their nails were slightly shorter as it hurts when they jump on us. Otherwise the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I have even recommended these guys to my friends. Thank you so much for making my furbabies so clean and beautiful.

I have been taking my Border Terrier to Christine for nine years and I've always found her very obliging and wonderful with my dog. She gives the cut and treatments I ask for and he always looks gorgeous when I collect him. He gets very good remarks about his appearance from family and friends. I would have no hesitation in recommending It's a dog's life.
As a vet - I am amazed by Christine's knowledge and dedication and all the passion she puts into dogs and work with them. I have been taking my dogs to her over 5 years and always had long lasting results, while at other grooming places my dogs were itchy and the coat would loose the shine quicker. Christine's results last for weeks !!Christine is my FIRST choice referral for very neglected cases that other groomers cannot handle!!! And she has helped many of my clients with skin conditions!
