If you are organising an event on Waiheke Island, you need to talk to Island Sound.

Waiheke is well known for it's many events and 1 in 10 weddings in New Zealand are held on this small island - but getting equipment over from the mainland can be complicated and expensive - paying for 3 or 4 days hire when you actually need the gear for 1 night! If you need a technician, it gets worse, paying for 2 hours travel, the cost of a car ferry, and overnight charges, you can easily run up hundreds of dollars of charges before anything is provided!

Island Sound is the preferred supplier of Sound & AV Equipment to almost every Waiheke Venue, catering for over 150 weddings, 100 gigs, 50 parties, 3 festivals, multiple sporting events and much more each year and can provide you with professional reliable service.

Hands-down the best DJ we could have asked for!!! We’re still not over how perfect the music was at our wedding. We searched long and hard for the best DJ and we found him at Island Sound. Spencer was our guy and he absolutely delivered. We’re particular when it comes to music and knew we had to find a DJ that was willing to play songs we chose. My husband made playlists for the cocktail hour and the reception and we were so excited to hear Spencer mix and play all of them! Island Sounds is really flexible about playing your curated playlists, or taking your music tastes and creating their own. We seriously got TONS of complements on the music and on Spencer himself. He was an INCREDIBLE MC for the night and was super interactive with the crowd. He jumped out and danced with us at times and you could tell he was so into being a part of everything. No cheesy lines or overplayed songs - his energy and enthusiasm was the perfect tone to get our crowd pumped. As an organization, Island Sound was on top of everything and had stellar customer service. Can’t recommend them enough!
Island Sound was fantastic from start to finish! Their office staff are super friendly and very informative. We worked with DJ Spence and he was amazing. He really set the mood and worked with us to make sure we had the absolute best time. He was so sweet and had the best energy!! It absolutely made our wedding the best.
We were blown away by our DJ, Drew, at our wedding on Jekyll Island. First off, the booking process with Island Sound was so simple, which is so nice when you are drowning in wedding details. And Drew was just a delight! He jumped in right away to help us coordinate everything and played the perfect mix of songs for our reception. We danced non-stop! Thanks for making our wedding amazing, Drew and team!
Shawn with Island Sound in VA Beach was excellent. As a whole the company was great to work with! They not only provided our DJ services but our uplighting for the event as well. Any time we reached out to make a change or update our contract, they responded very promptly and clearly. Their staff is very friendly and helped us each step of the way. Island Sound provided a detailed questionnaire to us prior to the wedding and we were able to meet with our assigned DJ to review the document all of the necessary details for our big day which helped it run so smoothly. People danced the night away at our wedding, until the lights were turned on! Would absolutely recommend booking Island Sound!
Absolutely loved having Brian! He made us the perfect playlist and we all had the best time. We went on a mission together to get everyone on the dance floor at least once and accomplished it!
Simply AMAZING! Island Sound and our DJ Christian made our ceremony & reception just perfect. DJ Christian managed with excellence the music flow of the ceremony, cocktail hour, entrance, first dance and reception flawlessly. They are very easy to work with and they respond in a timely fashion. Our music taste was American/hispanic and DJ was able to combine it so well that our reception dance floor was always full. We strongly recommend Island Sound and DJ Christian. You will be in hands of professionals. THANK YOU!!
My husband and I just got married a week ago and DJ Josh MADE the wedding! He heard every suggestion and request we had and just killed the game. He was so enthusiastic and had everyone dancing! We had multiple people come up during and after our event to compliment the music. He also hit every cue for the ceremony and our grand entrance. Could not have asked for better service. Would recommend DJ Josh for any event if you want to have a great party!
We had Josh as our DJ for a sorority formal event, and he was amazing!! He played great music that everyone loved, was super accommodating to our guests, and made sure the microphone was ready to go when we needed it! Overall it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend Island Sound.
The entire pre-booking experience was seamless from the first phone call to getting Brandon as an account manager and D.J. Spencer as our D.J. Everyone at Island Sound was helpful and accommodating, even with last-minute requests. When we first talked to D.J. Spencer, he spent extra time getting to know us and made sure to cover every last detail. At the wedding itself, he made sure to get everyone dancing and singing! Important shout out to DJ Spencer for passing out our light wands once it got dark to add a little extra vibe to our dance party *and* for joining us in our celebration on the floor!
