A clean and tidy domestic airport with really great views of the runway at each gate. It isn't the biggest airport but has the necessary amenities. If I was to fly to Stewart Island I'd be getting there via this airport. Nice staff and our rental car was dropped off here after our roadie from Queenstown. Airport has a café should you require some sustenance before your flight.
Visited this airport again. Neat and organised though small
Appears to be well maintained with capable and professional staff. However, the food is extremely expensive and not a great variety on offer. To the vendor s credit, the food was well presented and tasty.
Decent little regional airport, Air NZ has the modern features, everything is nice and clean and tidy around the airport. Bathrooms are great with big cubicles to accommodate suitcases etc with you. Cafe available and good viewing area. Carpark allows 20 mins free parking which is great if dropping off or picking up.
Overall it’s a good airport with efficient check in area, friendly security staff for the jet flights and a small but well serviced Koru Lounge. Plenty of taxis usually available following flights without needing to make a booking. The one major downfall is the size of the gate area once you go through security. There is not enough seating for everyone on the flight and so you have a lot of people who end up congregating around the security doors. It would be good if they could somehow find some more space perhaps by expanding out towards the tarmac.
Large airport . Lots of space .very good Cafe and very clean toilets. Flights to other areas in Nz leave from here plus those to Stewart Island. Good walk close by but no trail from airport.
Very helpful Air New Zealand staff. God bless you all for helping my elderly in-laws.
Pouring with rain when we had to board the flight. We were both drenched and spent flight to Christchurch cold and wet. There should be cover for passengers on days like this. Not impressed !!
Great airport, so well laid out, clean and tidy. Pity took over 30 mins for bags to get available. UPDATE - Much better today, bags out and away in car within the free 20 mins parking. November 2022 still great. 2024 all good at my home airport
Always lovely to visit my airport I'm proud of design concept and hope A320 Jet frequency increases with demand encouraging more to travel from IVC to AKL. Bringing Ingill up with other Regionals.
