The BEST Indian restaurant in New Zealand!!nThe menu is incredible, so many dishes that I hadn’t seen at any other Indian restaurant and reminded me of my time in India, It was very hard to choose one! I tasted my friends goat curry - yum!!! I had a paneer curry it was amazing, naan was perfection and the gulab jamun for desert was so good i loved that they served it with ice cream. They were busy which was great for a small town restaurant, the service was outstanding, the girls working at the front were wonderful so friendly and efficient. Overall I have to say this really was the BEST Indian restaurant I’ve experienced in NZ and we have been to a lot all over the country.
This place has one of the most delicious Indian Cuisine We have enjoyed, EVER. The food was tasty with savory flavor and spices not hot spicy though for anyone looking that extra hottness I am sure these guys will deliver!! out of this world.nnWe have eaten in many places in Europe indian cuisine but this is one if the best we have had. Just delightful experience and worth to stop by to eat here if you are driving by the town or staying the night in one of the motels/hotels. Service was quick and professional and the staff are super friendly.nnThank you for the delicious food for two hungry travelers!!
Often in and around Oxford for work and/or a break over the last few years and have always made sure to have a take-away curry from here on every visit. The service is prompt and friendly. The food is cooked fresh and spice levels are right on the money. Never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes for an order. Decent portion sizes, easily plenty enough for two people. Highly recommended.
My husband and I had dinner while we stayed near by. It was the best butter chicken I have ever had! Creamy and full of flavour! Also great naan! 10/10 would recommend!
Wandered into this restaurant on a Saturday night. There was only one other table occupied more on that later so we weren’t quite sure, but the reviews were great. We were promptly seated and served. We ordered lamb saagwala, aloo gobi matter, jeera and peas pulao rice and some naan. This honestly was some of the BEST Indian food I can remember eating. The spices were perfect, the sauce in the saagwala was spectacular, and the vegetables were on point. We devoured everything in front of us! The owner himself ensured that we enjoyed our meal and was attentive and available. I HIGHLY recommend stopping here or going out of your way for some amazing food.nThe only reason I didn’t give 5 stars on ‘atmosphere’ had nothing to do with the restaurant itself but was due to a couple with their 1yr old child. This child wailed with a piercing screech throughout our meal. Not the fault of the restaurant and unfortunate that they were the ONLY other people in the restaurant.
