I was ill for 3 days and decided to see the GP as I was not getting better, called them but was informed by receptionist to book an appointment online as its part of their new and innovative ways of delivering health care, unfortunately no appointment was available online and next available appointment was after 8 days... luckily, I got better after a week I guess thanks to self-prescription, I guess. They have longer opening hours throughout the week but next available appointment is often after 2 weeks so it's kind a useless... May be this is part of their strategy to delay as much as possible so that patient get better before GP get to check the person. I don't recommend this clinic and will pray for some good clinics open in Rolleston soon. When you are ill, it's a bit hard to drive to good clinics outside of Rolleston.
The most unprofessional medical center I have ever been in my entire life. Some of the receptionists are so unprofessional that I wrote a complain. Unfortunately, nobody gave me a chance to talk to somebody there to resolve the problem and they issued me a formal warning instead. I let a receptionist know in a calm manner that she would be rude, but she got angry instead and refused to give me her name or let me talk to the manager. There are so many people here complaining how incompetent and rude some receptionists are, but they are issuing warnings instead when somebody complains. People of Rolleston, please go somewhere else. These people have know idea how to treat people. I would give them 0 stars if I could
your lab tests and medical info wont be available in their online website. my gp in auckland records everything in connectmed but for some reason, this practice doesnt make it available online also, i was only 3mins late in my appointment but nurse there canceled my appointment. however, when i was early, the GP was 5mins late in my schedule. i dont understand the reason for this.
Inappropriate behavior and pathetic customer service by the OLD lady at the reception. I booked an appointment today for my daughter at 1:20 PM over the phone. The nurse told us to be sited in the car and that the nurse will call us on the number and take my daughter inside. I waited outside till 1:25 PM since I couldn't go inside, I called the number 033472614 and asked the receptionist that we have been waiting outside in the car but didn't receive any call. She said the nurse couldn't get hold of us and she will now pass the message. I again waited till 1:48 PM and went inside to see what the fish happening as my daughter was in real pain. I asked the receptionist who will be assisting us and the old lady said that "they couldn't get hold of us". I immediately replied to her that I didn't get any call on my number. I said give me the other appointment and she replied there's no slot for the same day. Would you to the old lady do the same thing with your child or grandchild? This is not the first time it has happened but there were similar instances and the whole google review about the staff's pathetic behavior is bombarded with similar reviews. I had such an awful experience.
Extremely rude reception staff... ongoing issue. From the very start the Receptionist I believe her name is Lorna was extremely hostile towards me and very abrupt. As I was trying to talk she would talk over me, not allowing me to finish explaining and in a very rude and hostile manner cut me off. To add on to this sensitivity, I am also pregnant so would have hoped for more patience and kinder approach. This is not the first time I have had to complain about the reception staff and their approach to managing patients. I believe being in a front of house/customer focused role that manners and ability to communicate well with the public who most probably are there for sensitive matters would be of the highest requirement.
I have been an enrolled patient at this Clinic for over twelve months, and have had nothing but the absolute best service. Reception, Health Care Aides, Nurses, Doctors, and their Students, all wonderful. Rolleston Central Health’s Office Manager has at times, gone above and beyond. The Fees are not much more than anywhere else, and if you have a Community Services Card, are less. I cannot speak highly enough of this Clinic.
In all my life of getting medical treatment I’ve never come across rude,unprofessional and unorganised receptionist at a clinic . It’s not my usual GP I was there to get orthotics made.I booked an appointment about a week ago the receptionist stated my appointment will be on May 18, at 11:30 am. I today turned up and was told to take a seat and waited to be seen. To find out after 30 mins that the guy doesn’t work on Wednesdays and been told to go back tomorrow. Whilst waiting I heard a woman walked in 14 minutes late for her appointment, and was told to take a seat, then young father walked in a couple minutes later and was very apologetic because he was 9 minutes late for his son’s appointment as he had to drive and pick him up. The father was told it wasn’t good enough by the lady at reception he was then told to re book to following Friday. He was then asked sarcastically and rudely“and what’s wrong with your son” the father replied “he’s not holding down food and isn’t well in general”. The child that needed medical assistance would have been under the age of 4 years old., and to top it off the clinic itself is filthy whilst there and I’ve never seen so much dust on surfaces in a medical facility.it’s not good enough specially when it comes down to hygiene.
Just got off the phone, irritated by the rude receptionist again, but after reading all the comments I realize I am just one of the many. There are so many people more caring and more polite, more professional than this person I wonder why RCH has to employ someone to give its patients such terrible experience. In my call, I stated my name and dob to save her the hassles asking, she didn't listen but kept saying they are fully booked, I was like fully booked when, I can't even call to book for later dates if they are so busy? She reluctantly found me a time and rushed to hang off, I could literally hear the bang. Such staff who doesn't care about her patients should've been long gone and I will be honest here, this is not my first negative comment about her.
I have never had a negative experience here in the nearly three years that I have been going here. My GP, the nurses and reception staff are all kind, professional and personable. I like that I can book online for appointments but on occasions when I haven't been sure or have been concerned, I've been able to ring up to speak with a nurse and have always received great advice from them.
I would not recommend this health "care" clinic, they are money focussed and will charge for every last cent to the max, I got incorrectly charged full fee for a Covid Vaccine appointment even after I queried it, only after I made the query with Pegasus was it confirmed that the appointment was meant to be free considering its funded. I had no direct apology from the clinic and had to chase them for my refund. This was the last straw in several other matters. The receptionist is known to be very rude, just refer to other patient reviews. Walk pass and find somewhere else where you will find a clinic who actually cares for their patients. You definitely won't find it at Rolleston Central Health.
