Sushi is always made to order. The big difference from Auckland’s sushi shop to this shop is, here they don’t put too much sauce. The miso soup is like a warm hug, less salty. Perfectly balanced meal. Way better than Auckland. Highly recommend! Very humble staff
I recently visited Inaka Sushi & Japanese Restaurant in Otorohanga and had a good experience overall. The food was delicious, with a wide range of sushi and other Japanese dishes to choose from. The only downside was that the prices were a bit high for what you got, but that's to be expected at a nice restaurant. The staff at Inaka were also very friendly and helpful, which added to the overall positive experience. They were happy to answer any questions we had and made sure our experience was top-notch. Overall, I would give Inaka Sushi & Japanese Restaurant a 4 out of 5 stars. While the prices were a bit steep, the food and service were both excellent. If you're looking for a nice night out and are a fan of Japanese cuisine, this is a great place to visit
The make the sushi fresh, right when you order it ! I had the salmon and avocado rolls, they were huge and really yummy! Vegetarian options: Yes have veggie options Parking: Easier to park at countdown and walk 3 mins unless you're able to find easy street parking Dietary restrictions: Has an allergy sign at the counter to tell you what their options contain.
Highly recommended. Very polite and friendly owner and honestly the best Japanese restaurant I have found in New Zealand for value for money. Excellent cuisine at affordable prices.

Fantastic salmon bento. Beautiful Miso. A must visit for lovers of Japanese cuisine! Made to order too, so no concerns on how long its been sitting in the display. Will come again without a doubt. Arigatoo gozaimasu! Oishi deshoo!

I would give Inaka 10 stars if I could! Great value for money the large portion sizes and always delicious. You seriously can't go wrong with whatever you order on the menu. Teriyaki Salmon/Chicken Donburi, Fresh Salmon Bento and Yaki udon are some family faves!
Like the Japanese word: Oishi! The sushis are fresh and tasted yum too. I had the beef ramen and I literally emptied the bowl. So you could guess how tasty it was. Highly recommended
The BEST restaurant in town. The couple are so friendly. Food is just incredible. Today was super busy but service was great and always smiles.
